Otto is a mindful focus timer and website blocker that helps you overcome procrastination and manage distractions while you work.
Otto - A Little Friend for a Wandering Mind
A creature wanders through the vast winding meadows and flat plains of a place that has no name. Those who wander into it, call it the Garden. It's mysteries are shrouded in forgotten dreams and faded memories.
—————————————————————————————————————————————
The philosophy behind Otto is simple. It's about being present in the moment, being intentional about the things you choose to work on and a little forgiving of yourself.
It's not about trying to do many things all at once, but doing very few intentional things that move you a little forward each day.
Remember, It's small steps over a long, long time.
But simple isn't easy. And life isn't perfect, it's mostly uncertain, and the mind always wanders. So a little structure wouldn't hurt.
The Timer and Blocker are the core features of Otto. Everything else is built on top of them.
The Pomodoro Focus timer helps you be intentional and break your time into focused intervals, while the website blocker helps you with your wandering mind.
—————————————————————————————————————————————
All features
Pomodoro Timer: Break your time into focused intervals with the Pomodoro timer.
Website Blocker: Block websites during focus sessions
Task Timer: Turn your Pomodoro sessions into Task sessions by naming them to be more intentional.
Scheduled Website Blocker: Block websites during chosen hours of the day (does not require focus sessions to be running)
Autoblock: Set a count down timer on websites instead of blocking them right away. Once the countdown reaches zero, the website will be blocked (Only works during focus sessions)
Analytics: See your focus analytics and distraction analytics
and more

About the Game Mechanic
Otto now has a new game mechanic that is more positive and mindful compared to the old mechanic (arcade style health/deplete). In the new one, your primary goal is to build a bond and friendship with Otto. As you spend more time with Otto, you get closer and closer until you reach the final stage.
There are three stages for your friendship - The Stranger, The Friend and the Guardian.
Each stage requiring more points than before.
How does it Work?
The more you focus, or the more your mind wanders, you get something called "Essense Particles", these particles represent your bond, the more you have them the more clsoer you get.
Think of this as a real life friendship, where you spend time with your friend, you knew them as strangers and the more time you spent with them, the closer you got. There are no punishments or penalties for being distracted or missing a couple of days.
But if you drift apart a little too much, your bond starts decaying slowly and you'll have to start over.

- This tool has been genuinely effective in improving my productivity. It creates a structured environment that keeps me focused and significantly increases my motivation to complete tasks on time. One of its most valuable features is the ability to block distracting social media platforms such as Instagram and YouTube, which are my biggest sources of time loss during work hours. By removing these distractions, it helps me stay disciplined and maintain momentum throughout the day. I am able to concentrate for longer periods, work more efficiently, and follow through on tasks without constantly switching attention. Overall, it has had a noticeable positive impact on my work habits and time management, making it a highly useful and practical productivity tool.

- This is one of the best pomodoro timers I have used. The UI is clean and really easy to use. I love the small overlay that appears when a timer is running. It has really helped me focus and be mindful while working. The developer is also really helpful and replies to any queries right away. I hope more people use Otto, and it becomes as popular as some of the other ones.

- I love Otto. I am in grade 5 and I use it for focusing and blocking websites. I love the new friendship game mode, because it is like having a relationship with Otto. I will recommend it to all of my friends. I also love the pomodoro timer! I use it all the time. Merry Christmas!

- Clean, simple, and no-nonsense. Loved it!

- I think its very helpful and helped me be productive, but only limiting us to 15 mins then making us pay for more just kinda ruined it for me. It was giving greedy.
- Ella Casteel
- I like it a lot! I've tried a lot of blockers and timer apps and I think this one is really nice. It has all the features that I like in other ones but it feels much cleaner, i tend to not use the other ones i tried when there was instantly so much useless features shoved in my face, it felt overwhelming. one thing is there doesn't seem to be a easy to find home page where i can get to every feature just from one link on the pined extension. I might be missing something but its a little annoying getting on analytics and setting separately instead of having them in the same area.

- definitely the best pomodoro timer i've used. i love it! the interface is clean and simple, and it's helped me stay consistent with studying. although, i wish there was an app so i could use it outside of chrome!

- Great extension! Wish they have an app or some syncing feature with mobile devices though so I can see the tracking in my other devices. Also, maybe a monthly subscription too! I want to support but I'm unfortunately a broke college student :')
- Mohammad Hammad Ansari
- The best extension so far, my productivity has increased and now i can track myself
- Adnan Chherawala
- The best extension, it's extremely helpful :)
- Sunni Phan
- The extension lags sometimes, but I totally get that. The timer would automatically restart after 25 minutes without notifying, or randomly stay at a 2-minute countdown for 5 minutes. Apart from that, this is an amazing app, and I would highly recommend it to everyone. Also, the new design is so cool and clean, and the fact that it's hand-drawn makes it even better.
- Sarah Robins
- I had issues quite often with the timer counting down one to two minutes and then freezing.
- aryan
- the persistent issue i am facing that on finishing of a pomodoro, i restart the timer in one tab but the restart timer popup comes up in different tab and there is no way to just close it, not end the session not restart but just close the popup.
- Anya
- This has been my go-to Pomodoro timer for about a year now and it has helped me get through my hardest courses in university!! I also love the new art from the latest update. I really appreciate that its been drawn by an actual person.
- Richard H. (CybeRich)
- its really great and exactly what i need for my study and work the only reason why i cannot give 5 stars are the technical difficulties which sometimes kill the add-in and the counting gets lost, as if it never existed..

- Kelli Longino
- Really enjoying this app. It's so simple, cute, straightforward, and most importantly **CLEAN**!
- Oleg Andelman
- Looks like a simple, fun focus timer; however, it requests a dangerous permission: "Read and change all your site data" - this means that the extension may read and potentially steal your sensitive information, record keystrokes, bank and credit card details, passwords, browsing history, etc.. Such a high level of access seems to be way excessive for a simple timer app. Be careful.
- Hannah Faith Perez
- so so so cute! thank you so much for this extension, i love it 😍
- Susanna Quayle
- This is a really neat extension however it automatically blocked my FedEx shipment tracking of all sites... I think it would be best to not have any sites autoblocked and leave that as an option for the user to manually set up.
- Jian Zheng
- This is a great extension. My only suggestion will be don't block any websites by default without confirming with the users. Respect the users' choice from the very beginning. Unblocking some websites may not be as easy as supposed for all users.
- Magali Pujol
- loving this extension so far
- Sarang Vikram
- absolutely amazing interface and superb integration of minimalism .
- Shaarvi Pawar
- Amazing app...Helped me focus a lot on my studies... it is very accesible and waas really helpfulthat whilegoing on different apps, it still showed how much time was left
- Chris
- It is unobtrusive, the UI is minimal and straightforward, and the site blocking feature is really handy! Before, I would use Pomodoro websites, and the extensions available at the time were not very unique. It was the site blocking feature that really caught my attention, and I've been using it ever since.
- Bob Byrne
- A brilliant Pomodoro style tool with lots of functions and more features are on the way. The Pro version is really worth it..it's an investment in your precious time and productivity.
- Zeyad Alseed
- I love it, it is perfect for me and the developer is nice
- Pradeep Srinivasan
- I have tried multiple Pomodoro timers, but Otto is one of the easiest ones to use. It integrates seamlessly into your browser when you have the timer running. The ability to autoblock websites, and the reminders to start working when you visit specific websites are also really helpful. The developer is also really friendly and always open to feedback and suggestions. I can't wait to see the future of Otto!
- Pgs Gaming
- One of the best Pomodoro timer i impressed with the blocker which is work seamlessly and again big salute to otto developers I think they loved to developed this application there is the reason why I love this extension too.
- Michelle Kassis
- I love this app! Unfortunately, I've noticed recently that when the timer ends, the webpage goes black behind the popup. I have to refresh the webpage to get back to the site. Any suggestions would be so helpful.
- Nhan Nguyen
- Looks cute and has almost all the basic functions. However, sometimes after a session, a popup appears and blocks the whole page. I cannot do anything to close the popup, the only solution is to refresh the whole page without saving my progress while doing something. It's quite annoying that way. Please help fix it! Thanks for the great work!
- Captain America
- Amazing extension everything works well, but mini timer feels like obstructive sometimes you can add snap to edge feature which shows only progress bar when it is hidden and visible when mouse hovers over the timer, as it is there in ticktick application minimode, but still, it's amazing extension thanks to Otto.
- akshita singh
- I love this cutie Otto istg amazing web to focus and exercise
- Pranav Narayan
- I don't have any bad things to say, this app has made me 100x more productive. I love the design and videogame aspect as well. Good work to whoever is developing this!
- Saubir Yaseen
- It works well at combining the functions of a timer and site-blocker. Otto is really cute, too! Kudos to the devs. There is one things that keeps this from being perfect, though; it would be nice if you could toggle on an always-displaying timer so you could constantly see the time decreasing. It would be too obtrusive if it was the whole interface that you get when you click on the extension. Instead it could be a small icon in the bottom right corner of the screen with a circular progress bar. I don't know if that's possible, but it would be really helpful.
