Page Ruler is an extension that lets you measure distances (in pixels) on a webpage.
It draws a rectangular ruler when you move your mouse on the page. The ruler has width, height, start and end all labeled with corresponding metrics in pixels. When you move your mouse, the rectangle changes its size and all the numerics are updated. To activate the addon please press the toolbar button once. Likewise, to disable the addon please press the toolbar button again. This addon works with mouse clicks in desktop machines. For touch-enabled devices, you can work with touch to draw the rectangle within the page.

- Could've been good- but as Aagam Jain below commented below, the black cursor is _impossible_ to see against black backgrounds! I found another extension (Digital Ruler) that automatically changes the cursor's colour to contrast against the background colour, and that's exactly what is needed. I am uninstalling this extension and going with the other one.

- It's useful when it actually works. But unfortunately this is not the case most of the times. Often after taking one measurement it just stops working and doesn't measure anymore. Often the ruler does not show up and when it does show up, it's in incorrect position. I am done with this useless extension.

- it very good tool , but we need to have more control on the settings like the control to show or the hide each measure for example if i mesure just the width there is no need to see the x , y and h , one more thing we need to have the control to remove that yellow "ruler mode" at the very top left of the screen.

- It's okay, problems I have with it is that if you measuring something at the top of the screen the measured values go outside the screen. If you're measuring something when a dialog/overlay is open the overlay will be above the ruler and make it impossible to measure.

- I loved this extension, but is there an option to remove the "Ruler mode" thing? I'm measuring the pixels of my website's logo, which is at the top left corner, and that "Ruler mode" box covers it. Also, amazing extension!

- Worked well for what I need it for. In pixel format, X to X position, Y to Y position, difference is W and H respectively. You can turn it off in Chrome simply clicking on the puzzle piece chrome extension icon in the top-left and clicking on the extension again.
