1. Acceptance of Terms
By installing, accessing, or using the ChessPause Chrome extension (the "Extension"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Extension.
2. License and Permitted Use
- You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use ChessBreak for personal, non-commercial purposes.
- You may not modify, distribute, sell, or reverse-engineer the Extension.
3. "As-Is" Disclaimer & No Obligation for Updates
- The Extension is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without any warranties, express or implied.
- ChessBreak relies on external platforms (Lichess.org, Google Chrome). If these platforms change their code, policies, or restrict access, the Extension may stop functioning.
- We are not obligated to update, modify, or maintain the Extension due to external changes. Any updates, if provided, are at our sole discretion.
4. Pricing & Payment
- The price of the Extension is displayed before purchase.
- Payments are processed exclusively through PayPal.
- By purchasing, you agree that all sales are final except as provided in the refund policy below.
5. Refund Policy
- Refund requests are accepted within 7 days of purchase.
- Refunds will be issued for the full amount minus $0.30 to cover transaction processing fees.
- Refunds are only processed through PayPal.
- To request a refund, contact [email protected] with your proof of purchase.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation of the Extension.
- We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including but not limited to data loss, account restrictions, or software incompatibilities.
- Use ChessBreak at your own risk.
7. Privacy Policy
- We do not collect, store, or share personal user data.
- The only data processed is time zone information, which is used solely for internal functionality.
- We do not track or store any personally identifiable user data. However, we temporarily transmit the user's time zone to a Google Web App for authentication purposes, but this data is not logged or retained
8. Limitation of Legal Claims
- By using ChessBreak, you waive any right to participate in a lawsuit against us, whether individually or as part of a class action.
- We are not liable for any damages, losses, or claims related to your use of the Extension.
- If you do not agree to this, you must not use ChessBreak.
9. Termination
- We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate access to ChessBreak at any time without notice.
- Violation of these Terms may result in an immediate ban from using the Extension.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of ChessBreak after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
