Jums teks pradėti nuo mažo lopinėlio žemės savininko iki galingiausio karaliaus sosto, su jo galia surenkamos tūkstantinės armijos, kurio nuomonė turi jėgos įtakos išsidėstymą žaidime, ir jo pavaldiniai moka didžiulius mokesčius už galimybė turėti galingiausio valdovo apsaugą.
Iš pirmo žvilgsnio : 1100AD sudaro klasikinę strategiją: reikia ieškoti išteklius, samdyti ir treniruoti armijas, tobulinti populiaciją. Bet kai jus papuolate į didelį pasaulį ir susitinkate su kitais žaidėjais – jus pasinėrėte į išskirtinį 1100AD, kur jus laukia unikalus taktiniai mūšiai realaus laiko režime, ,daugiafunkcinę vasalų sistema ir sunkus ekonominiai santykiai. - (2015-04-09) Donte Burks: The interface appears to be all over the place. Makes the Gui appear too busy and too confusing. There is little explanation about how to proceed in the game. and no way to zoom in on any location on the map. There seems to be some more work to be done.
- (2014-09-07) inivican: The game was, for starters, very unorganized and gold is a finite resource unless you buy stuff with real money. The game does not seem that active - although I tried out the Eurasian server which was apparently new. Most things take a long while to happen and that's all-right if you play other things as well. But that annoys me thoroughly. Most of the chat was in Russian (or possibly Bulgarian) and that is annoying. At least this game is not EVONY!
