# FangDefang - IoC Defanging Tool
## Overview
FangDefang is a browser extension that helps security professionals, analysts, and researchers safely handle potentially malicious IoCs. The extension provides tools to defang (make safe) and fang (restore) URLs, domains, IP addresses, and email addresses, making it easier to share and analyze potentially dangerous IoCs without the risk of accidental interaction.

### IoC Defanging
- Convert IoCs to a safe format by replacing dangerous characters
- Support for multiple IoC types:
- URLs:
- `http://` → `hxxp://`
- `https://` → `hxxps://`
- `.` → `[.]`
- `:` → `[:]`
- Domains:
- `example.com` → `example[.]com`
- IP Addresses:
- `192.168.1.1` → `192[.]168[.]1[.]1`
- Email Addresses:
- `[email protected]` → `user[@]example[.]com`
- Preserve IoC structure while making it non-interactive
