- (2025-09-09) shimon: It is the most convenient and safe way to shop online. I use EVERYWERE, good job capital one. P.S. I rarely write reviews but seeing how many negative reviews there are for some reason, I don't want you to miss out on this amazing tool.
- (2025-07-20) Hirisave: 1. You ask for my opinion before I complete my task, it is rude and disrespectful to say the least. 2. Eno does not always come up when I need it. I am using Edge most of the time and Crome occasionally. It is annoying and frustrating. 3. I have to sign each time I try to use Eno if it did come up. For posting this review I had to sign in again. It is immature of programmers and marketing folks who designed this survey!
- (2025-03-14) Jonathon: Easy to use, convenient to not need to grab for my wallet, and make me feel safe that any potential data leak will get a temporary card.
- (2025-03-07) Tom: Virtual credit cards are incredibly useful, and Eno makes creating and using them very straightforward.
- (2025-03-02) Administrator: easy to use and reliable extension.
- (2025-02-18) Patrick: I have used this since it was introduced. Most of the time it works and provides you with the virtual care info for your transaction. There are still some instances where Eno won't open. It is hard to say if CO is having an Eno issue or if the issue is with the Browser. I think it is great to attach a card number to a website. If there is a hack, just shut down that virtual card AND you can report exactly what vendor that card number originated for the Fraud guys at CapOne.
- (2024-12-24) John: Has saved me more than once from real card number getting stolen and bogus charges. I insist on using a virtual number whenever I can. Not all websites support it unfortunately.
- (2024-12-17) Agustín: From my desktop PC, I feel safer using these virtual cards for my purchases, more so if it is a company I have not used before. I often will create a one-time use or will add a block date to them. I also have it on my phone.
- (2024-12-12) Michael: Love it. Virtual cards locked to a site. Convenient and adds an additional layer of protection. Great idea!
- (2024-12-01) Ted: I had a tough time getting this to work with my card at first...it took probably a couple of months. I don't ultimately know what changed either in my browser or the Eno extension, but eventually it started to work on multiple computers. I now use it ALL THE TIME to generate virtual card numbers for anything I do online. I've been burnt so many times by my credit card number getting compromised, and having to deal with getting a new card and all that hassle. I love this feature of my Capitol One card where it can generate virtual numbers so easily!
- (2024-11-15) kay: So far this has been the best way to protect myself when I sign up for a subscription and forget to cancel within the trial. ENO works using my desktop 90% of the time. I will continue to use it.
- (2024-10-19) Mathew: Utter garbage will not add card with valid sec code "I had a problem adding one of your credit cards. Please try adding it again." This disgusting addon has excessive levels of security that it causes many hurdles to even use a virtual credit card.
- (2024-10-15) George: Great card management approach. Just need a better connection between the virtual card and my charged card. Share the amount charged on the virtual card, or share the virtual card on my charged card items for cross reference.
- (2024-10-07) Zachary: works great
- (2024-09-28) Shaun: Virtual Cards are great for Free Trials or wierd subscriptions where you want more control over renewals.
- (2024-08-21) Clark: I've been using the extension for several months now. I have had no problems. It is very useful to have the ability to create and use these virtual cards right at the moment of purchase.
- (2024-08-20) Javier: A must have extension for Edge browser. Convenient to fill up virtual credit card information without hassles.
- (2024-08-13) Michael: Works great and very well in Edge.
- (2024-08-12) Alexander: It works great, consistently. I'm confused by the people complaining it's broken and Capital One is not fixing it. I've been using it for months since one of my credit card numbers got stolen after booking something online. I use it for multiple different Capital One cards on a number of sites and, for the most part, Eno knows when it's needed or not.
- (2024-07-25) Ed: Extension has been broken for months and Capital One has no intention of fixing it. This broken extension makes it 10x harder to use virtual cards since you have to manage them manually through the website.
- (2024-07-20) Boris: Virtual cards is the only reason I signed up for Capital One. Killer feature! It does take them some time to verify & enable the account, after that, works like a charm!
- (2024-07-16) Makoto: Currently broken. It opens up a login screen that tries to make a request to the domain "secure.capitalone360.com", however, that domain does not resolve at the moment.
- (2024-06-07) John: Used to work great; but now they've added a new popup login screen that never works. Currently unusable.
- (2024-01-21) Peter: Just got a new laptop with Windows 11 and Edge (Jan 2024) and I was able to get Eno from the MS Store and install it as an extension. I then logged in with my CapOne credentials and provided the verification code they sent my phone. After that it popped up when I went to the Adobe website to buy photoshop, but it did not fill in the credit card info. I could not copy the CC# from Eno and had to type it in manually. This will suck if that is true for all stores. Perhaps Edge does not think it is safe to allow a CC# in the unencrypted copy/paste buffer or maybe they did not create the app correctly. At least I can use it
- (2023-07-06) Jacqueline: How to use on Edge. And get a discount. 1) Double click on the extension icon (to pop up a browser to capitalone.com) <Sign In> onto my CapitalOne.com 2) Scroll down, and bottom left, click on <View All Offers> 2b) Click on the vendor and it takes you to the site. (the cart will still be there if you had shopped before loging on) On the main CapitalOne.com page 3) Click on <Mange Virtual Cards>. Search for the vendor or create a new one View Virtual card and copy it. Not too bad. Still needs a fix. But I log on first anyway to see what kind of discount there is per vendor, e.g. compare Lowes with HD, etc. 4) Click on View Virtual Card and copy it from there.
- (2023-03-11) Chuck: I use the EXACT user id and password that I use to access my Captial One card account, that works perfectly. ENO will not accept same when I try to sign into the Extension. It's USELESS if I can't sign in. Capital One Support couldn't help.
- (2023-02-28) Trahloc: Add things to your cart all you want but do NOT go to the checkout until you do this first. To use the extension reliably *first* log into capitalone.com and get Eno authenticated. Once you've confirmed it's working *THEN* go to the website checkout. If you do it out of order you won't have a smooth experience.
- (2023-01-07) Jim: Very unreliable, only works part of the time, totally randomly. Frustrating
- (2022-12-22) C: The extension only pops up for some payment sites; I just tried to open it directly without success. Keep in mind, this 'protection' is not 100% hassle-free. Last summer, one of the virtual numbers I used for a vacation trip was stolen; Capital One caught it, and stopped the fraudulent charges, but they still cancelled the original credit card even though that CC number was secure. It was only the virtual number that was stolen. That was inappropriate. The concept is great, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired.
- (2022-12-13) Tuff: Never pops up during checkout. Always says "problem, we're working on it". Only works in Chrome -- seamlessly. Edited 12/13/22: Tried again in MS Edge. Worked, but not automatic. May update when it decides to be triggered by checkout.
- (2022-11-01) Mark: I LOVE IT. WORKS EVERY TIME FOR ME. I DON'T KNOW WHY OTHERS ARE HAVING PROBLEMS. I USE IT ON 3 DIFFERENT BROWSERS, AND THEY ALL WORK FINE. I FEEL MORE SECURE USING THE VIRTUAL NUMBERS.
- (2022-05-11) Funk,: this is the only way Capital One will let you get a virtual card and it hardly ever works. Wasn't working so i called; was told they would have to delete all of my virtual cards for some reason (couldn't really understand the explanation). Capital One - get it together!
- (2022-04-28) David: This garbage does not work and the sad excuses for developers that made this should feel ashamed for themselves.
- (2022-04-10) Charles: This is the biggest piece of ****. I have not been able to use it since downloading. Why do I need an extension for a virtual card. If you actually cared about our security I should be able to go to capital one or use the app to create a virtual card.
- (2022-04-06) ESCO: Best app ever. Our company issue 9 cc and spending over 200k per month, every month we get compromised. Since we use the eno app, it saves us a lot of time to update vendors new cc. Our compromised transactions mostly at take away and scan like restaurants or vendors processed via punching terminal. Eno was able to save us time and security.
- (2022-03-22) Scott: Unlike others on this Review panel I have no issues with the Capital One Eno extension functioning correctly while installed on Microsoft Edge. For those who seem to be having issues with ENO opening automatically on a card payment page or opening with a click prompt, make sure that you have granted permission to ENO for all AD blockers, pop-up blockers, etc. such as uOrigin, Ghostery, ADBlock, ADBlock Plus, Stop ADs, etc. Be sure to 'Reload' the page after disabling each add-on you might have, not after disabling all extensions. That includes the Microsoft Edge 'NoMoreAds' extension. As with any other site page that you have 'authorized' to open using any pop-up blocker, ad blocker, this action affects only the ENO page / pop-up window with the virtual generated card number. Then change your review to one that is more appropriate. Thank you
- (2022-03-16) Jason: Just when I think this addon is fixed it has problems again. Now the addon button in Edge does nothing even after reinstalling. About as reliable as getting CapOne's shopping credit. The only saving grace is you can go through the digital wallet manager to get to a virtual number...in about 12 steps.
- (2022-02-27) Wade: Does not work on Edge at all. Works well in Chrome.
- (2022-02-06) Chris: hardly works ever
- (2022-01-11) Manuel: Limited. Can't create virtual card unless you are making a web purchase. You will be unable to create a virtual card to use at a specific offline merchant. Huge drawback; an excellent idea for a bucket still full of holes. Needs work.
- (2022-01-09) Phoenix: This version does not function at all in Edge. The Chrome version works fine (if you have Chrome extensions for Edge enabled; Manage Extensions | Allow extensions from other stores). Just use the Chrome version, which works.
- (2022-01-04) Kurt: Doesn't work on edge. Nothing happens when I click on the extension. Can't create virtual numbers.
- (2021-12-08) Steve: Was really hoping to use this but cashes Edge on Mac. Hoping an update addresses this soon as there's no other way to get virtual card numbers other than via this extension.
- (2021-12-04) Diego: Doesn't work on Edge...
- (2021-11-26) Takahiro: eno doesnt work with edge on mac 2021-11-26. extension doesn't do anything when you click on it.
- (2021-11-11) Michael: Eno does not work with windows 11. Problems with all browsers.
- (2021-09-17) Art: I had a rough start, but once I got familiar with this app I have been very happy with it. Protected from false charges.
- (2021-09-17) Scott: As soon as I activated new card a fraudulent charge appeared $24.00 from old card (locked) how did they know new card number??
- (2021-09-12) John: Card numbers work about half the time. Automatically logs me out every third time or so. Not really worth the extra tediousness.
- (2021-09-11) TOM: sucks... doesn't work.. tells me my account is restricted. Not usable
