(I'm personally fine with having the "storage" permission for this purpose). -- Original Review: WARNING: extension has just been updated to request to READ ALL BROWSING HISTORY. Unless this is an oversight, this seems like a potential violation of privacy, especially given there is no apparent reason why this is now suddenly required. Would be open to hearing more information from the developers about this change but given no info as of now, I sadly need to uninstall. Other than that, extension previously worked great and as advertised within google docs! - Only improvement/note is the extension activates on Google Slides/Presentation as well: when a picture is double clicked, the expand icon appears to the right of the slides (icon is not on the photo) and when switching slides the icon remains and can't be removed even though the photo it will expand no longer is present in the current slide. Would be great if the icon to expand were tied to the photo it is expanding and goes away when switching slides.

• (2024-11-23) Massimo D'Alessandro: This looks amazing in principle, but like another user said, I need to use it with images pasted inside cells, not over cells. Because they cannot be selected, the extension does not work. What a pity :-( If it was available for images inside cells, it would open up the possibility to manage data records including images in a really cool way. Compact and neat. Images over cell go all over the place if you change data.

• (2024-03-08) mark casey: Nice, but the green "enlarge" button covers the three "more" dots button that allows you to move an image that is floating OVER the cell to be INSIDE the cell... sigh Please allow an option to move your green "enlarge" button to other corners of the image!

I do not like the workaround with right-click on the image -> Image -> put image over cells and only then the icon for enlarging appears. It defeats half the purpose of using this workaround.
• (2023-11-16) Julien Altieri: Update: - Younes reached out to me on linked in to debug further after rewriting the code entirely < 24h after my previous review - turns out I had another extension for doc image zooming that had stopped working, and that's what was blocking this extension to work - this is resolved and solves a huge pain point - Younes (developer) seems like the type of person who cares deeply about keep this solution working despite updates from Google. Truly deserved 5 stars Previous: Not working - but I really want this to be working and will change my rating if @younes Barrad can get it to work. In the console, I get this: Unchaught TypeError: Cannot read properties of null (reading 'querySelector') at insertImageLinkAnchor (contentscript.js:15:22) at findImageEmbeds (contentscript.js:27:5) at contentscript.js:35:5 Context, this is a google doc where the image is a screenshot and is inside of a table (most common way that people share images in my organization)

Tried removing and reinstalling but the tool tip that used to display in GDocs to expand a thumbnail image no longer displays. Is there an existing bug in the latest version? One thing I would maybe add as a suggested feature is to enable the zoom feature for viewing only mode (not the download feature). Right now you can see the extension features only on Editing mode and Suggesting mode but if I want my reader to be able to use the image zoom (but be unable to suggest or edit) they cannot see the extension features
