The User Interaction Tracker is a research tool developed by researchers from Northeastern University to collect data for academic studies on online shopping behavior. This tool records your actions (e.g., clicks, scrolls, and navigation) along with relevant context, such as t he page's HTML and screenshots, while you shop on Amazon website. Occasionally, it will display pop-up prompts asking about the reasons behind your actions.
To ensure privacy, we have implemented filtering rules to exclude sensitive pages, such as the checkout process, from being recorded. Additionally, you will need a unique ID provided by our research team to activate and use this plugin. All data collected through this tool will be used exclusively for internal research purposes and will not be shared externally.
