Chrome Audio Capture is a Chrome extension that allows users to record any audio playing on the current tab. Multiple tabs can be recorded simultaneously. Recordings can be saved as either .mp3 or .wav files. Users will have the option to mute tabs that are currently being recorded.
To begin recording on a tab simply click on the extension icon and use the interface or hotkeys to start and stop the recording. Once the recording is stopped or when the time limit is reached, a new tab will be opened for you to save and name your audio file. Make sure to save your file before closing the tab, otherwise the file will be lost! Check the options page for different output file formats and other features!

Note: Currently recordings are limited to 60 minutes due to Chrome memory constraints but you can safely bump it to 1.5 or 2 hours. Beyond that it will run out of memory in Chrome and stop abruptly. Sorry, this is a Chrome limitation.

For cloud recording (which does not use your computer) a subscription service from Zoomcorder is required. Local recording is always free. Also webinar recommendations may appear on certain video meeting pages for high quality webinars from Meeting TV.

- Works perfectly fine to me! All the basic necessities I need are there and its easy to operate. Works fast and I can record 1-hour long periods without any problem (i havent tried longer periods). (you can also record several tabs at once without the sounds overlapping.)

- When you remember to stop it before the time runs out it works very well. If it gets to its own cut off point it's a different matter I wanted to record Mark Stein's show on Serenade radio. Its on for half an hour so to be on the safe set the time limit to 90 minutes and started it half an hour before the show started as I had to go out. When I returned the page said it was encoding but there was no indication of it doing anything. After another hour I clicked close. I can only really award it 3 stars because of this, it was very disappointing to miss the programme and there is no catch up option on the station.

- Does not save the file. There is no new Tab which enables me to save the audio. Only the options menu opens. Using Win 7

- This is a great extension to have. However, One important feature that can be added is a "PAUSE BUTTON", So the user can choose to pause a recording and resume it later, during the same session.

- Purrfect. Works as an audio recorder as expected I don't want to write site name from which I recorded video 🤣 otherwise they will again find a way to prevent it but feel blessed to finally record the audios I needed

- Enabling this extension makes a "webinar us tv" page element show up in teams. Why? I didn't ask for it to be enabled what's it injecting this into the page for? Disabling the app removed it. very suspicious. Stay away.
