Start - A Better New Tab

It is very useful to me. I was looking for this type of extension for months but nothing worked. Then I found this. Such a cool extension. It was a superb experience

Exceptional, seen some other reviews saying there are issues, maybe so but so far I have had no issues. Other than that I highly recommend.

a good idea with the use of live wallpaper and minimalism, but the possibility of customization and settings is so small, and of course, a terrible disgust for the extension is that it changes the standard google search, why it is not clear, despite the fact that everyone in the reviews writes this, there is a feeling that the developer just doesn't care about the reviews. And of course it would be nice to add some notes too.

The searchbar wasn't responsive with screen width, please add 1. notification such as sound or pop up for the reminder 2. choice to choose wallpaper from local 3. speed dial that can be customized

How does this extension make money... I see it changes the search engine and then redirects to Google. Are you collecting data?

I was very disappointed because the reminders do not appear on the desktop and it does not ring a sound. I was testing and waiting for the 'drink water' reminder appear but it only shows a text message on the tab, so all the reminders stay there, forgotten, unless I look directly at the tab. Other than that I really liked the UI, the sounds and the breathing meditation option.

could we add custom widgets like calendar or Gmail or something? with the same amazing style as you have now!

This is aWeSoMe tbh, I just got it a few days ago and am still loving it, the features are very interesting and I haven't found any other extension that has so many features either. Although I wish the backgrounds would change everyday on it's own but it's still great to see whenever I turn on my laptop :D

This is so great! It's modern and clean. But it has 2 minor downsides, in the url at the top, it will always use google and the search bar on the page only has a few options for search engines, I couldn't find OceanHero on there. So if you can add it, that would be great! Thanks <3

Generally nice... but why not make the reminders area open to modifications of what KIND of reminders we want to use..??

How did you not add an option to make these tiny unreadable icons and widgets larger? These wouldn't be passable unless to zoomed in x300.

I loved the new live wallpaper but how to play sound automatically only when start tab opens and sound off when tab is closed or navigated?

Attention! This extension compromises your privacy! It captures every search term you enter into the address bar!! → The plugin takes over the browsers search-function and sends all search requests to their own website, without reasoning or mentioning that behaviour in the privacy policy. Their website simply redirects you to the google results - there's no way to disable this behavior. https://www.screencast.com/t/S7tQRZyH The custom search engine simply redirects to google without providing any value. I've contacted the author of the extension about this issue but got no response within a week, and most likely will not hear from them ever.

Seems like a great new page extensions, however... It has no business changing the search engine of my browser bar (not talking about the search widget). You'll see it'll first route your query through "search.start-a-better-new-tab.com" before continueing to google. There is absolutely no reason it needs to do that to function properly. Huge privacy red flag.

Even though I tried to change the setting several times, it keeps changing my search results to Yahoo. It would be fine if that was a default and let me change it, but since it keeps happening, it's gone. I've used this for several years and have loved it, but changing my search results is a game changer.

Love the extension, 11/10. I really recommend it for people with online classes atm, or for just general use. It has many awesome features such as a to-do list, weather, time, stretching sessions, meditation, music, drink water reminders, posture reminders, animated wallpaper, wallpaper etc., most of these are features are optional. Again, 11/10 would recommend a 100%. I only have 1 suggestion though, please add a feature to have custom wallpaper. Other than that, it's great! <3

Beautiful and useful <3 Edit: Can't change wallpaper, as they just went kaboom soon after I wrote my review. They just disappeared lol Edit 2: Still, It's an awesome extension. Simple design, looks cool.. I don't mind if the wallpaper isn't changing, the default one is really beautiful.

Love the aesthetic. Would be great if we can section the To-Do list to Today, Done, This Week etc. Or into lists.

Overall great app, especially love the sound and visual (though sometimes it takes a little time to load).To do list is very handy too. The issue is the bookmark. It is a mystery where the bookmarks are pulled out. No matter how I change the arrangement of my google bookmarks, the app keeps showing the same useless ones... sign...

I used to love this extension but this update sucks, i please want to go back to previous version where i could see daily quotations and weather and apps link and TODO list and notes

A perfectly good and working extension has now been utterly ruined by adding bunch of nonsense "meditation" tools to it. Plus, all my widget have gone missing from the dashboard, even though I have them turned on in the settings.

Hopefully, it could add a google calender tool into the next version, like a wallper tool.

It's great. The wallpaper variety is great, and there is a ton of browsers to choose from, alomg with a lot of other things. I really do wish you could add the option to browse with ecosia, because i use that and it isnt available in the options. But the todo, and reminders are great. Live wallpapers suck mainly because after opening a new tab with that live wallpaper, it lags, i cant change the wallpaper, and the wallpaper is now black. Maybe this is my PC problem, but I have a core i9 so it is mainly the extensions issue. I also hope you can add the ability to use photos from your computer as a wallpaper. Thank you for listening, and I hope you take in my suggestions in.

Previous version was better. I lost my saved to do tasks when i updated it This version does not have much flexibility. Flexible reminder timers for tasks, NO notifications option etc.
