FocusFlow: Smart Reader & Accessibility Toolkit
Description from store

FocusFlow rebuilds any web page around how you actually read. Swap in a
typeface your eyes can decode, open up the spacing, put a guide under the
line you're on, strip the page back to the words, have it read aloud, or
ask for a plain-language summary — all without leaving the page you're on.

Built for readers with dyslexia, ADHD, low vision or visual stress, and for
anyone who reads a lot on screen.

TYPOGRAPHY THAT FITS YOUR EYES

• Eight accessible typefaces — OpenDyslexic, Lexend, Atkinson Hyperlegible,
Andika, Comic Neue, Inter, Open Sans and Roboto. All bundled with the
extension, so nothing is fetched from a font server.
• Control letter spacing, word spacing, line height, font size, weight and
alignment — the adjustments that research on visual crowding actually
points to.
• Font-only mode applies the typeface and leaves the site's own layout
alone.
• Bionic Reading bolds the leading part of each word to give your eye a
fixation point to land on.
• Syllable segmentation (Pro) breaks long words into the parts they're made
of, by dots or alternating colour.

KEEP YOUR PLACE

• A reading ruler that tracks the line under your cursor.
• A focus line that dims everything outside a narrow reading window.
• Paragraph spotlight (Pro) — dim the whole page except the paragraph you
are hovering.
• Colour overlays for visual stress, plus contrast and saturation controls,
a big cursor, link highlighting and reduce-motion.
• Auto-scroll pace reader (Pro) keeps the page moving at your speed.

READER MODE

• One keystroke turns an article into a clean reading view — no ads, no
banners, no sidebars, no cookie walls.
• A clickable heading outline, plus word count, sentence count, estimated
reading time and a readability grade for the section you're on.
• Save anything you're reading to your Reading List.

READ ALOUD

• Text-to-speech on any page using your browser's own voices, with voice,
language and speed controls. Nothing you read is sent anywhere to be
spoken — the synthesis happens on your device.
• Immersion reading (Pro) adds a floating player, word-by-word and
sentence highlighting, and auto-scroll that follows the voice.

AI READING TOOLS (PRO)

• Summarize — get the gist of the whole page, or of the section you're
reading in Reader Mode.
• Simplify — rewrite a dense paragraph in plainer language.
• Define — explain a word or phrase in the context you found it.
• Available from the toolbar popup, the side panel, and the right-click
menu. Results appear in place, over the text you asked about.

FITS HOW YOU WORK

• Per-site settings — FocusFlow can be on everywhere, on only where you
want it, or tuned differently site by site.
• Profiles — save a set of typography settings and switch between them.
Three custom profiles on the free tier, unlimited on Pro.
• Reading List (free) and To-Do list (Pro), both reachable from the side
panel and the dashboard.
• An insights dashboard with your reading stats, AI credit balance,
account, licence and help in one place.
• Keyboard shortcuts: Alt+Shift+D opens the popup, Alt+Shift+F toggles the
font, Alt+Shift+Up / Down change the size.
• Light and dark themes, colour palettes, and nine locales — English,
German, Spanish, French, Hindi, Japanese and three Portuguese variants.

WHAT'S FREE AND WHAT'S PRO

Free, and not time-limited: all eight typefaces, every typography control,
the reading ruler, focus line, colour overlay, visual filters, big cursor,
reduce motion, link highlighting, Bionic Reading, Reader Mode, read-aloud
with your system voices, per-site settings, three profiles, the Reading List,
themes and the insights dashboard.

Pro adds: the AI tools (summarize, simplify, define), immersion reading
(floating player, word highlight, auto-scroll), syllable segmentation,
paragraph spotlight, ruler and focus-area style presets, custom colours
beyond the presets, per-site custom CSS, the auto-scroll pace reader, the
To-Do list, unlimited profiles, and cross-device settings sync.

Pro is a licence key from focusflowapp.in/pro.html.

PRIVACY

The reading tools run entirely on your device and work offline. FocusFlow
does not collect your browsing history, does not track you across sites,
uses no cookies or analytics, and loads no remote code.

Three things leave your browser, and only when you ask for them:

• AI tools — the text you selected (or the page text, if you asked for a
page summary) is sent to our server, which passes it to a language-model
provider and returns the result. Results are cached for up to 30 days.
• Licence activation — your licence key alone is sent to our payment
provider when you press Activate.
• Settings sync (Pro, opt-in, off by default) — if you create a FocusFlow
account and turn sync on, your settings are stored in that account so your
other devices can pick them up. That includes the sites you have set up
per-site rules for, and your Reading List with its page titles and links.

As a person with combined ADHD, this extension is SUPER helpful!

Simple and easy to use extension. I can turn on/off for a particular web page or globally. Increase or decrease font size and line spacing is also very convenient to use.

It's great until you try writing with Grammarly.

I think this will help in the future but they should add a menu and a simple switch for turning the font on and off or an indicator for if it is on (I do not have the disorder rn but will introduce this extension to others)

I use this on all my devices an apps, I find it very useful and I love that it is free. I've struggled with dyslexia my whole life and struggled as the world switched to computer-only use, the tools I used growing up were no longer applicable. with Open Dyslexic I'm able to overcome that and work much faster. computers are no longer a hurdle for me
