Reader View is, however not available, for all home pages. If the feature is available for a certain page, you will find the icon to enable it in the shape of a small book icon displayed to the right of the address bar. This makes it easy to lose focus and sometimes even forget what it was that we were reading,” said Peter Wallman, SVP of browsers at Opera. “Our goal with the improved reader mode is to allow our users to focus solely on the articles of their choice and to give them a consistent and pleasant reading experience.” The reader mode puts content front and center Opera’s improved reader fixes problems such as dense layouts and small fonts. The improved reader mode in the browser utilizes fonts such as Roboto for the text body and Roboto Slab when it comes to the headlines. The font sizes were selected based on feedback from Opera users and a series of tests. The chosen font sizes were the most comfortable to read, even for people who have vision problems. Roboto Slab also includes serifs, which makes article headlines look more like newspaper headlines and differentiates the text from the system font used in the rest of the browser’s UI. Once enabled, the reader mode converts suitable web pages into a simplified format, displaying a neater version of the articles: the font is changed for maximum readability, and the top navigation, as well as ads on a website, is hidden. • (2021-05-22) Ankur Tripathi: I would have loved it if it had a highlighter feature.
  • (2021-05-20) Nicholas Koldys: I like it but I believe it just needs a few things to improve on, like changing the toolbar to match color scheme, dynamic sizing of the settings window (gets a bit cut off), but all-in-all it has great text edit features like width-change and time to read which is cool to see.
  • (2021-05-12) Xuxa Liu: Really saved me a lot of trouble, great extension.
  • (2021-04-01) Mr. M. van Voorthuijsen: This is a great way to make pages narrower so the paragraph lines are not so long. Now I can adjust every webpage to the perfect width.

  • (2021-02-06) Chinmay Ghule: I like this extension, but bro, please add a fully-justified feature for the text. I'm using this extension to read web novels and the text doesn't look good as it is left-justified.
  • (2021-02-05) Hana Mohamed Ali: best options afforded for readers different tastes
  • (2021-02-04) cool guy: This is grest for developing websites it isnt perfect but for a html5 developer it saves a lot of re-texturing time
  • (2021-01-23) Patrick Koval: Works well. Very easy to use. Just pin it, click it, and the page is less cluttered. I use this a lot to print out non-journal articles for reference/markup because it's hard for me to read from a screen. One suggestion I have would be to allow deletion of text. Sometimes the "subscribe to our newsletter" text doesn't get caught, but it's not that big of an issue.
  • (2021-01-21) Hannah Kelly: it dont even work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • (2021-01-20) J. Salmonson: WTH? Has a major bug it won't close when the X is clicked on and it's breaking other tabs I have open that don't have this extension enabled on it! HATE!

  • (2020-12-04) Sarfraj Ahmad: This is the best extention for reading without any distraction.
  • (2020-11-22) James Long: Pretty sure this is just a copy of the other extension by the same name. They both muck things up with the same giant formatting flaws, anyway. See my review there for the list.
  • (2020-11-18) Glenn W: Jesus christ this is really exactly what I needed. Thank you so much for making this. Well done
  • (2020-11-18) Michael Zhou: This extension does a wonderful job presenting just the text that I want to read. Some of other reader view extensions have trouble with parsing out the main text section, especially for articles on Yahoo Finance.
  • (2020-11-16) Ana K: Oh my GOODNESS total lifesaver so far. I haven't had it for long so I may not have come across some of the bugs I've read others talking about, but so far it helps soooooo much. Makes something go from absolutely unreadable to nice and comfortable just like that. 10/10 would recommend
  • (2020-11-15) Han Anne Lee: so easy to use, and u can make ur article full screen to help you focus :)
  • (2020-11-11) desiree: idk. i have extreme adhd, even on my medication its hard to be on a website, even with multiple adblockers, to READ anything. everything is flashing and moving; trying to grab your attention; and sometimes the white hurts my eyes but i dont necessarily want dark mode. so this was the perfect solution, great color selections, options like line width are perfect because sometimes i get overwhelmed by how many words there are and get bored (more frustrated) and give up, and it simplifies the page to the essentials (which doesnt just include the text). the only recommendation i have (which i dont mind because the montserrat font is perfect for me) is to add more fonts for others. but besides that, good work man, i appreciate it a lot.
  • (2020-11-03) Hakan Fıçıcı: I really couldn't believe when I see what this extension does to my study note. Thanks for protecting my eyes on reading 100 page of paper online.
  • (2020-11-02) Player Mario Scoobie: I really want to rate this extension 5 stars but it is hard to because of 2 reasons. First 20,000+ users and only 1 review apart from me. Weird and suspicious. Second, your extension does the job but is very boggy and has issues with reader mode and html saving option. If you really want to improve the extension then check by this web page and how images see. Also add more fonts options. https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/google/google-chrome-aims-to-make-browser-user-agents-obsolete/
  • (2020-10-19) Maxi Cardozo: Works perfectly. The dev has to put his hat on, congratulations for such neat extension!
  • (2020-10-13) Hamza 2021: Yesterday I needed But could not find it now I don't but kept it because it a great extension for digital study nature students .I may need later.
