Exclude Topics from Google News

I tried this extension on the off-chance it would get rid of Piers Morgan from my Google News feed. And it did! I had to close Google News' tab and clear Chrome's cache after adding the keywords, but it worked! No more of that… person.

2 Stars.....Does not seem to work. I have tried several keywords with capitalization and without. Seems to be useless.

Now that Google News loads asynchronously, this doesn't work anymore. It did the job beforehand though.

Yet another extension with the potential of making Google News more bearable, rendered impotent by Google's reconfiguration of its news page. Extension currently does not work for me. I'm on a Windows 10 laptop using Chrome-based "Brave" browser.

Did not work at all. Not one of the keywords that I put in was blocked. It might have worked once but not anymore.

Useless. I specifically have it set to block Kardashian, Markle, Meghan, and Jenner. Yet I get at least one news story a day featuring them! And seriously, how is ANYTHING Kardashian considered news!

Greatest extension since "Make the Internet Kittens Again"

Great idea, but not seem to be working at all on Chrome. I see a message that says it filtered (0) topics, although the topics are clearly listed in the options, and the topics are definitely on my news feed. I've tried several options to get it working, but no luck. When I remove all keywords from the options I get a blank news page - it blocks everything.

UPDATE: Dark Reader extension breaks this Exclude Topics from Google News extension. Anyway, Google news has become another form of advertisement. Everyday you will see an Apple story of some sort. The same goes with a couple other companies that must pay to always have a story in your news feed. I diligently hit the fewer stories like this option for 2 months straight to no avail. Notice google news does not and will never have a button that says to remove every story from <insert name> ... I found this extension and wow it did the job! The torment is over! I can eliminate stories from people and companies I have no interest in giving my reading time to. Thank you very much to the creator of this extension.

Doesn't work at all. I've been trying to find a way to block all Fortnite content but it just won't go away. I've tried reinstalling this extension and still nothing.

When I enter a keyword, it won't save it. No response from clicking on the Save icon. Problem fixed - rating changed.

Perfect. Hiding posts doesn't appear.

I find this VERY useful and helpful to my sanity and to stay better informed. HOWEVER, I added a couple keywords on 6/12/18 and it blocks ALL of google news now and I can't seem to fix it without just turning the extension off. This makes me sad. Any advice? Thank you.

Doesn't seem to work with the new Google News layout.

Works fairly well to filter all Trump stories. Unfortunately there is a slight delay to the filter so sometimes for a brief half second I might see his name and ugly face. Enough to ruin my day. He is disgusting both inside and out.

It filtered Trump-related stories from my main news page, but didn't filter the "Editor's Picks" feed. There's another extension called Good News that does both.

Excellent plugin, just one thing i would like to have(if technically possible!) to remove on the left side of google news filtered words for example i filtered news with "trump" but again i have in left side tab "Donald Trump" Cheers!

My goal was to try to remove certain topics from my news feed that were causing unneeded stress. I still like to be generally informed, but some topics need to be 'squelched' to keep them from taking over! This extension does the job neatly, and provides a quick link to restore the articles removed if you're curious about what you're missing.

worked like a charm. seems like other folks aren't following instructions, but if you separate search terms with just commas and no spaces, it works!

Works as intended. The topics need to be separated by commas with no spaces between. At first I didn't think it was working but then I read the directions.

This does not work. At all. I typed in Donald, Trump, Hillary, Clinton, Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton and they still show up on the news feed.
