Silveraith 2025-06-23: Does well for simply displaying, but it would be better if I could still chat without needing to exit full screen. The main reason I got this extension is because the regular chat section takes up too much of the screen when I'm in theater mode.
Anton Styles 2024-11-30: Hi I dragged the chat to the left edge, and now I can't click the little hand icon to drag it again, it disappears as soon as my cursor hovers over it hahaha. Removing and reinstalling didn't help!

Corrodias 2023-11-17: It does what it says, and it works well on recordings, but for me, it causes periodic pauses (as if the CPU were too busy) in the video on a live stream. Pity. If you experience the same problem I do, then at least until that changes, I recommend the "Youtube live, Simple Chat Stylizer" userscript on Greasy Fork.

Looking at the support site others mentioned this nearly 2 years ago with a comment 8 months later saying it will be added in the next update. Doesn't appear to have been added yet, as a result unable to get the extension to work.

Like same message by same person coming up twice. I noticed a few times and double checked outside of the extension in regular chat and confirmed it was the extension. I have to admit though very nice!

I watch a lot of different streamers and their camera is located strictly in a certain place and every time I have to reconfigure the appearance of the chat for each streamer. Somewhere a chat is needed from above, in 4 lines and the entire width of the video, because they write large messages there, and the top of the screen is usually free for the streamer. Somewhere you need to be on the side, somewhere in the lower left corner. It would be great to save the location and settings of the chat. And save these settings to profiles. And then switch between them.
