• (2022-05-26) MacKenzie Peatfield: Wave has held nearly $10,000 from my account and to try and get any support from the chat is terrible. No consumer support, knowledgable support specialists are obsolete, Risk Team doesnt care. Theyve exhibited that. I even reached out to the CEO of the company regarding my serious matter- well see if I get a response. Will not be using this application ever again.
• (2019-10-19) Kim Armes (Keys To Self Discovery): The application worked pretty well for simple bookkeeping until the last update in July 2019. The update recategorized my accounts creating an additional 3 hours of work to create new accounts in the right category, then move all of the transactions from the incorrectly categorized accounts to the new accounts, then archive the incorrectly categorized accounts so that they can no longer be used. Then, the journal transactions had to be move individually rather than through the bulk edit process. I really feel for the users who were using this application because they don't know accounting or bookkeeping. I have an accounting degree and am still trying to figure out how to find and verify my transactions for integrity.

• (2018-05-30) Phil Fitzsimmons: This program is super buggy, and reporting is quite limited. You have to use their fields. A basic register of transactions and "who they are to" seems out of reach. Changing dates on reports freezes the app. Going back to QB.

However, more development in compatibility for Australia would be much appreciated, and I'm sure, very popular here when compared to the price of other accounting apps and programs in Australia. Needs the ability to customize margins and paper sizes (particularly A4) and option of automatically including tax in an item price. Other than this, it is very good.

• (2016-12-01) Matt: Can't really complain about much since I am using the program for free. It does mostly what I need. I only have a few wishes, bulk payments, delete an old company and the ability to export for tax purposes. Some of the apps functions freeze periodically and have errors when trying to process. It takes several tries to get where you want to go. The Chrome app, is not an app at all, just a link to the sign-up page..seems a little useless if you ask me. BTW: I did contact Wave customer support...they respond quickly and are very polite. They did let me know that they are still working on the app and new features are in the works!

• (2016-04-30) Don S: I've been trying to use Wave for about two years but am finally giving up. There are just so many limitations compared to their competitors. It only seems to be able to do about 60% of each task I need it to. The system has gotten slower and slower. The bank connections rarely work. Support is dismal.

• (2016-03-18) Tamsen Wassell: Watch out! They say it is 100% free but .... I did not sign up for their credit card payment service. When I set up my custom invoice I turned off that option on my first invoice set-up. But it turn out that there is way to permanently turn off credit card payments accepted. A large client went ahead and paid by credit card. Then I couldn't get a hold of anyone at wave to retrieve the payment because I had the free account which does not include direct customer support. I am now waiting for them to respond to an email (while they use my money). Plus they indicate that they will charge me $725 dollars to give me the money. This is very expensive software. BEWARE!

• (2015-12-31) Jehanzeb Zafar: Being a CPA, I am writing this review after dealing with Wave since it started. Yes, accounting app is free, however, it is a pain. Wave has the slowest servers I have ever seen in my cloud accounting experience. Even compared to any other company or organization, Wave's servers seem to be in stoneage. Waveapps was able to handle data in the first two years but after that, it has been badly declining. In addition, there is no customer service (you would be lucky if someone attends your issue). I highly recommend the company improve its servers and customer service. Even if the company charges a little price a month, that's better than using such slow servers and lack of customer service. Also, something to note is that we have supported the company a lot as we love to support start ups. I also knew many people in the organization and have gone through conversations with them before writing this review. I highly recommend people to stay away from Wave. One day you do not want to wake up and discover that Wave does not exist any more.
• (2015-12-15) Robert Thiede: When I originally started using WAVE it would connect and upload my bank statements automatically. After the update it doesn't even list my bank as on option. Even after a year of trying to get them to connect it. last years taxes were a mess. WAVE somehow managed to double my income. Still not sure how that happened. Even after all that, I still use it - for now-. I love the invoicing. But I now use a different accounting software.
• (2015-10-17) Paul Chegwidden: Have not had a chance to test as I cannot even setup. 1st issue encountered is that it won't connect to my bank despite correct details given (error message telling me my details are incorrect or missing). 2nd issue the lack of tax inclusive pricing (legal requirement in many countries), which judging by details found in the community forum has been an issue for over 2 years without comment or resolution from the developer.
• (2015-10-06) Amanda Robertson: This app was great until the past two months when they started accepting payments themselves and charging extra for stripe to continue the service. They have 250.00 of mine they have held since Sept. 17. The payment was rejected by my bank, but they failed to do anything about it. Still spending time each day trying to get the money my client simply tried to send via this credit card processor. It's been quite a nightmare. Try Harvest using stripe, it's been great thus far.
• (2015-09-01) Thomas Shallenberger: My bank was listed as compatible and inegratible, but wouldn't integrate. I was planning on using this app for expense tracking, forecasting, payroll and merchant accounts, everything but couldn't get it integrating. I submitted multiple help tickets over 14 days without any resolution. I'd get emails saying, "we'll try to help." but nobody would respond or follow up after that, even with multiple requests. Seems like an awesome app--integration wasn't working for me, customer service (even the simple help function for free accounts) doesn't work either.

• (2015-05-26) Andrew van der Watt: Update: Since the introduction of statements (still no PDF statements), I'm giving it another go. So far, I'm impressed, but during "peak" times, the response is very slow. Will hopefully be able to provide an update in a couple months. Previous:I would have scored this 4 or 5 except that after setting up my business to run on it, I find that I can't send my customers statements. I had to revert to my old accounting package. What a pity. Key things missing: - Customer statements - Ability to delete a company - Options on how to send your account to your customer.
• (2015-05-19) Paul Pilkington: I have used this app for over 12 months now and found it a really helpful tool for my business it helps me keep track of cost and up to date with my invoices. If I've had any problems the support I received has been excellent. I have no problem recommending this app for anyone in business.

• (2015-02-17) Dan Bull: I have been using this app for about a year. This app is more trouble than it is worth. When it works it is fine. But the time I spend getting it to work or waiting for customer service to fix it is not worth it. The App keeps downloading duplicate transactions. Then When I get all the dups deleted it down loads them again. The bank connection does not work half the time. Either takes for ever or does not connect at all. Should have never stopped using Quicken.
• (2015-02-16) Joe Snowdon: I'm using Wave for my accounting. I love that it's web based and free. The Chrome App is useless. I uninstalled it. The way to use a Chrome App is to install Wave Invoice for Chrome. It takes you to the dashboard page. The Accounting Chrome app is purely the marketing hook. I'm using Wave, but I know even less accounting than I thought so I have a learning curve to come up! I've tried using the web app on my Android phone but it's very slllooow, not well implemented for that browser.
• (2015-02-08) Paul Trott: No ability to do check numbers? Lame. The CSV upload ability is great, but implemented poorly. Doesn't read CSV files as it should. App is good, but needs lots of work.
