• (2024-12-01) Melissa Bartlett: If I could give this zero stars, I would. I wanted this because I recently did a power wash on my Chromebook, and it deleted Play Store. No trace of it. Gone. So, I'm waiting to get it back.... somehow. While I was waiting, I found this on your local Web Store, which, don't get me wrong, is good, but scamming, and this is one of them. It doesn't work, especially for Chromebooks and Google Chrome (And, laptops and computers in general). Wouldn't recommend, it's just the same as if it were the website, "Google Play Store". I fact, it I the website, it's nothing. Plus, you can't download anything. You either have to pay, or it just won't download. It's not worth it, or my time.
• (2024-02-06) OinaruKiseki: Bought a Lenovo Chromebook and Google Play isn't opening there. Don't know if it's the product or the app itself, but it is unfortunate that I don't have other means to add apps onto the Lenovo, especially since it's new and I don't think I can return it now.

I have manually noticed it was auto-updating and turned it OFF TWICE, only for it to be turned ON again randomly. Please STOP changing my explicit permissions. Clearly everything is linked to my google account this should NOT be happening. I do not update if it not a security issue and to keep some usability without new ads, random new font changes, etc when it is still perfectly usable.

• (2022-08-07) Brian Scott McCaig: I was given several hundred dollars worth of Google Play gift cards as gifts. I have tried multiple times to add them to my Google Play account. I enter the card codes and it confirms adding $xx.xx to your account. Then it gives an error message saying we need more information, please fill out the form. The want pictures of the front and back of the cards, pictures of the purchase receipt and pictures of the validation slip emailed to them. These were given to me as gifts, I don't have the receipts and the givers no longer have them either. I went to Kroger and bought a card and tried to add it. Same message. I sent the information requested, two weeks passed with no response, so I tried to load the card again only for it to say that the card had no balance, even though I was never able to use it. I have repeatedly tried online chat with reps only to be told that I am "scamming" or that the cards are fake. If they were fake, why does the balance show up when you try to redeem them? Stay far away from Google Play gift cards, Google will just steal your money, and not give it back. Gift cards can't be returned to the store and Google won't refund the purchase price.
