Stream Player is a Chrome extension that lets you open and watch HLS (.m3u8) video streams directly in your browser. It uses the browser’s own HTML5 video support and MediaSource Extensions to play the stream smoothly without any extra software.

The extension converts MPEG-TS video and AAC/MP3 audio into MP4 fragments on the fly so that the browser can play them normally. When possible, this work is handled in a Web Worker so it doesn’t slow down your page.

If you work with live streams, test video links, or need a simple way to open .m3u8 files, Stream Player does the job quickly and reliably.
