It is simple. Panic Mode ensures that whatever you do online it always stays private and secure. Yes, the insecure sites will break but this is "ok" because Panic Mode guarantees your maximum privacy.

Amazing extension. I am on constant panic mode! :D
It is a good idea, and it works to unblock school filters that have not invested in SSL packet sniffer or root certificate managers. BUT it needs support for TLS as well as SSL. Perhaps a TLS mode and an SSL mode, only because websites sometimes only support one of the two.
It is a good idea, and useful when using public WiFi. (a little inconvenient when insecure websites will break)
