The easiest way to stream videos on your computer to your Google Chromecast!
Play mp4 video files on Chromecast. Supports HD video, does not re-encode. It streams directly from the file on your computer. It can also play some MKV files, MOV, M4A, etc. As long as it's a supported Google Cast media type, it will play!
It is very resource efficient, and only runs the app when you are on the website, or actively casting.

Works on Windows, Mac, Linux, ChromeOS, including ARM Chromebooks.
(Note: on windows, you may need to disable windows firewall for home networks)

- Downloaded app, clicked on app icon, was sent to mp4Cast, clicked on "Select File" button... and nothing happened! Repeat steps, same results. This is not the best way to watch movies on my hp chromebook!

- I just try two videos and will not stream at all. One was a regular movie (1.4Gb) and the second was a short movie only 1.5Mb

- Awesome App. I had children's movies on a flash drive for grand-kids to watch. This is the only App I found that isn't choppy. This one works perfect. I use it almost every day now. on downloaded movies. Awesome.
