A CyberDunk2-ben létrehozhatsz és irányíthatsz egy kosárlabda játékost, vagy akár egy egész, más felhasználókból álló csapatot. Draftolhatod, edzheted őket, vásárolhatsz számukra egyedi felszereléseket, különböző trófeákat nyerhetsz, kereskedhetsz, játszhatsz teljes mérkőzéseket vagy akár egy az egy ellen is.

Szöveg alapú menedzser játék, főként statisztika mániásoknak és igazi stratégáknak.
Ezt a kosárlabda MMORPG-t maga a játékosközösség irányítja. Minden csapatnak csak egy meghatározott számú játékosa lehet. A szezon nagyjából 61 napos és bajnoki mérkőzésekből, kupasorozatokból és világbajnokságból áll (a nemzeti kapitányokat az adott ország felhasználói választják). A mérkőzések szimulálása élőben követhető, így célszerű olyan bajnokságban indulni, melynek mérkőzéseinél jelen tudsz lenni.

Ez a játék egy korábbi, közepesen sikeres kosárlabda játék reinkarnációja: az eredeti Cyberdunk 2007-ben indult (és még mindig aktív). A CyberDunk2 még mindig csak az első szezonjait tapossa, így ajánlott minél hamarabb csatlakoznod, hogy te lehess a játék legjobbja. Néhány dolog, amiben az új CyberDunk2 eltér az elődjétől: a későbbi csatlakozás miatt hiányzó edzések nem befolyásolják a játékosod későbbi karrierjét, mivel induláskor már tapasztaltabb játékost tudsz alkotni, így könnyebben versenghetsz a legfelsőbb szinteken is, mivel a későbbi kezdés ellenére is rendelkezésedre áll az összes mérkőzésekért járó képességpont, amiknek a segítségével olyan játékost alkothatsz, mintha a szezon első napján kezdtél volna. Összességében ez már egy másik, egy jobb minőségű játék, amiben feltétlen részt kell venni ;).

Bár a mobil alkalmazás támogat némi offline böngészést is, a változások mentéséhez és az adatok frissítéséhez természetesen szükség van a szervereinkhez való csatlakozásra.

It's very addicting, trying out different player builds and team compositions is most of the fun, for me at least. 13 years in and I'm still trying out new things. You can manage, or co-manage, a team and make all of the decisions from which players to play at each position, who everyone will pass to, defensive tendencies, shot frequency and area of the court each player will shoot from etc. Or you can just make players and let other people manage them. The game is broken up into leagues, mini tournaments called marathons that take place over a few hours, world cup games and royales that take place over several weeks, and there are even pickup games you can use to test your team tactics (if you own a team). There's a lot to learn but it's all very simple. I definitely recommend it and imagine I'll continue playing for as long as the game exists.
