- Stops autoplay unless you click. QuietWeb neuters “autoplay” so media won’t start without your gesture.
- Hides the little sticky players in sidebars and corners that cover content while you scroll.
- Leaves full media sites alone. Platforms like YouTube and Vimeo are treated as “safe” so your intentional watching isn’t interrupted.
- Per-site control. Use the popup to toggle QuietWeb on/off for the current site. Changes take effect immediately.

- We do not collect or sell your data. No analytics, no tracking pixels, no browsing-history collection.
- No remote code. QuietWeb’s logic runs entirely in your browser.
- Minimal local storage. We store simple per-site preferences (enabled/aggressive) and basic block counters—on your device. Page-level counters are kept in session storage and clear when the tab closes.
