QuietWeb — Your web browsing bodyguard. Browse cleaner, faster, distraction-free.
Tired of pages that start blaring video the moment they load? Tired of tiny “sticky” video windows that chase you down the page? QuietWeb shuts that noise down—without breaking the sites you actually use.
QuietWeb is for anyone who wants to browse the web in a quieter, calmer way. Install it once. Browse in peace.

What QuietWeb does (free):
- Stops autoplay unless you click. QuietWeb neuters “autoplay” so media won’t start without your gesture.
- Hides the little sticky players in sidebars and corners that cover content while you scroll.
- Leaves full media sites alone. Platforms like YouTube and Vimeo are treated as “safe” so your intentional watching isn’t interrupted.
- Per-site control. Use the popup to toggle QuietWeb on/off for the current site. Changes take effect immediately.
- Works great alongside your existing ad blocker. QuietWeb focuses on video annoyances and sticky players that general blockers often miss.
__
Upgrade to QuietWeb PRO (one-time purchase):
Unlock extra control and visibility:
- Aggressive Mode (per-site). When you really want silence, Aggressive Mode halts all iframes and sneaky inline players on that site until you explicitly “Show video.” It’s the most powerful option for bogged-down pages—still respectful of safe, full-screen video platforms.
- Live stats (unlocked). See “Blocked today” and “Blocked on this page” counters in your popup. Free users see lock icons; PRO shows the numbers.
- Pro badge. A small ribbon on the toolbar icon confirms your PRO status at a glance.
One low-cost purchase. No subscription. Yours forever.

Privacy you can trust
QuietWeb is designed to be safe, local, and respectful:
- We do not collect or sell your data. No analytics, no tracking pixels, no browsing-history collection.
- No remote code. QuietWeb’s logic runs entirely in your browser.
- Minimal local storage. We store simple per-site preferences (enabled/aggressive) and basic block counters—on your device. Page-level counters are kept in session storage and clear when the tab closes.
- Network blocking is declarative. Our blocklist uses Chrome’s built-in Manifest V3 engine—fast and sandboxed.

How QuietWeb feels to use
- Visit a news or blog site: the page stays quiet.
- If a tiny sticky video tries to tail you, it’s hidden with a “Show video” button right on the frame.
- Want absolute silence here? Open the popup → toggle Aggressive Mode (PRO). The page will reload quietly; you can still reveal any video on demand.
- Curious what QuietWeb caught? Check Today’s Stats and Page Stats in the popup (numbers in PRO).
