Vor oder während der Wiedergabe des YouTube-Videos können Videoanzeigen eingeblendet werden. Diese Anzeigen können mit den Schaltflächen „Anzeige überspringen“ oder „Anzeigen überspringen“ geschlossen werden, die nach 5 Sekunden angezeigt werden. Sie müssen also nicht nur eingreifen, sondern auch warten, bis die Schaltflächen erscheinen. Eine andere Art von Anzeigen können Video-Overlay-Anzeigen sein, die mit der X-Schaltfläche geschlossen werden können, oder Spaltenanzeigen, die nicht geschlossen werden können.

- I'm a developer too, I was developing a project similar to yours, in the middle of the development I said to myself: "maybe someone has already done this?" and here it is! I would have simply let the ad play with the volume muted (in your project a few seconds you can hear the spot, I suggest you implement it anyway) and then automatically pressed the skip button as soon as possible, anyway great work, thanks

- We need an update guys, youtube can let me hear its annoying ads lately. I love you because you save me from annoying voices, while I just try to get peace, and let the content creator gets his/her benefit from ads at the same time.

- Generally worked well but seems to add an automated redirect to a "r.srvtrck.com"-Website to links from Google searches and other places. Once I deactivate the extension, the redirects don't happen anymore. This is not mentioned anywhere which I find very concerning since I don't want my data being used for marketing purposes and other stuff without me knowing it. I will uninstall the extension.

- The extension works, but it adds adware to Google search results. It changes some Google links to start with "https://edmitad.com/newapi/click/" and adds a small icon. The creator likely earns money from these adware links. Contrary to the claim above, YouTube does detect this ad skipper.

- I've decided to support this extension, which I've been using for over a year. It still works well for me, blocking ads effectively. Yes, it occasionally freezes, but a quick page reload always fixes it. I find the negative reviews about the extension not working to be questionable. Good luck to the developer! I hope they continue to adapt to changes on YouTube, providing us with a great, functional product.

- It works fine & just as intended, but be careful because this extension **will track you** when it's allowed on all sites. It appears that when you search something in Google and the results contain the word "support" (Example: ` dell.com/support `) you'll see a subtle dollar sign icon thing to the left of the title and clicking on the result will make an API request to ` edmitad.com `. To get rid of this, go to "chrome://extensions/" then "Skip Ad - Ad Block & Auto Ad Skip on YouTube" then "Site access" then change the dropdown from "On all sites" to "On specific sites" and add `https://youtube.com/*`.

- Doesnt work. My old blocker suddenly stopped working and this is the 5th one Ive tried. NONE work now. Maybe code changed on YT but ads autoplay, page refresh new ad plays again, have to let it finish to watch the video. LAME!!

Addition : As of June 2024 YouTube has reflagged adblocker like this and I hope that you guys can find a way around their pathetic attempt to enforce irregular useless ads. They should not interrupt their videos, instead maybe use a side panel to show ads. This is just a suggestion which is not overly invasive.
