All clipboard data is stored locally using chrome.storage.local. Nothing you copy is transmitted to any external server. No account or login is required. ClipStack requires the clipboardRead permission to capture text when you copy — this is used only to save history locally and is never sent anywhere.

Does ClipStack read everything I copy automatically?
Yes — ClipStack captures text when you press Ctrl+C or Cmd+C. This data is saved only in your browser's local storage and never transmitted externally. You can clear history at any time from the extension popup.

Does it capture passwords?
ClipStack captures text-based clipboard content. We recommend disabling ClipStack or clearing history if you copy sensitive data like passwords. Future versions may add per-site exclusion rules.

Does it work with images?
Image clipboard support is planned for v1.1 (Pro). The current v1.0 captures text only.

Can I use it without a Pro subscription?
Yes. The free plan includes 20 history items, real-time search, and 5 pins — fully functional with no time limit. Pro adds unlimited history, categories, and export.
