- Makes Duolingo a genuine language learning tool. Choosing from word banks only works on recognition but typing works on recall. And like... choosing from the word banks is a nightmare for more practical reasons, pecking around with a mouse and all that. I really recommend pairing with Extension for Duolingo if you don't want to use your mouse at all. - this is truly the only way that duo is usable on the computer. it is still annoying how often it switches inputs, such as word matching or giving 3 options and you pick one. but when the sentence questions come up it is so great to never have to use a word bank again. the word banks are p a i n f u l. thank you so much to the developer of this extension!!
