BigBrother shows what data websites collect about you:
- cookies, trackers, geolocation, forms, local storage, session storage, IndexedDB usage, and even browser fingerprinting. In addition, it detects when a page:
- creates or deletes an IndexedDB database
- uses WebRTC (e.g., RTCPeerConnection)
- requests permissions (notifications, camera/microphone)
- attempts to access Bluetooth or USB devices
- checks battery status via the Battery API
- opens or uses CacheStorage (Cache API)
- sends data via the Beacon API
- registers a Service Worker
All of this information is displayed in a clear, collapsible interface in the popup, so you can see exactly how a site is trying to track or collect data.
Nothing ever leaves your browser: all collected details remain local. BigBrother does not send any of your data to external servers or third parties.
