Description from store
**Version 2 now live**
Easily set custom timeframes for your Google Tasks.
This extension allows you to extend the duration of your tasks as desired. This will help you schedule your Tasks with accurate timeslots.
Simply input the duration of the task and when you are ready to schedule it, drag and drop the task into your calendar. You will then see the task expand into the specified duration.
For example, to customize the duration of a task to 3 hours, simply add “(3h)” to the end of the task title and watch as the task automatically expands to fill 3 hours when dragged into your Google Calendar.
**2.0.0** - 1 minute increments supported
**1.0.7** - Updated logo file names

- (2025-04-29) Daniel McCallum: Works in Chrome, but not in Brave. So far it works very well in Chrome though.
- (2025-02-23) Paul Bakker: doesnt work on my calendar?
- (2025-02-10) Patrick Knibbe: Great extension! It would be great if duplication of tasks can be added just as events (if possible)
- (2024-11-02) Rolando Guerrieri: It could be a fabulous tool (especially since it's really missing natively in GC) but it's weirdly bugged. The displayed duration is 1.2 times the written duration. i.e. when one writes (5h), 6h gets displayed. (and same for all durations). Too bad !! Or maybe it can be fixed ?
- (2024-07-05) Trung Kiên Nguyễn: This is what I need. Huge thanks for the author. Color Coding for task is definitely a need. For example, I'm currently working in 2 project simultaneously, I want to adjust 2 unique colors for 2 different projects in order to quick scan. Anw, thanks again for your extension!
- (2024-05-27) Colin McCluskey: Exactly what I was looking for! This extension is perfect for time blocking. Thank you to the developer for creating this! Note: For anyone struggling with how to add minutes, you need to use the words "min" with no spaces after the number. For example "(42min) Prep Presentation". You can also do hours and minutes combined by typing "2h 20min" or "2h20min". Hope that helps! For future versions, I would love to see "min" change to "m" for simplicity or at least have both options work. Having a "2.5h" option would also be nice.
- (2024-04-25) Rory Cavanagh: Hi, thanks for this. it's pretty cool -- you can even update the task time after you've put it on the calendar which is nice. unfortunately there appears to be a bug where i cannot minutes to work properly. any amount of minutes i put seem to show up as half an hour on the calendar. Also, potentially a nice feature add would be to recognise part hours, e.g. 0.5h (currently is displayed as 5h rather than 30m)
- (2024-04-09) J E: Works on std Google - not on Workspace - 1h 30min - doesnt work, 90min doesnt work - needs to be refined better
- (2024-04-07) Robin Blom: Very useful, but I would love to specify the time in the description of a task, not in the title. If that is possible, than i will give it 5 stars!
- (2024-01-20) Karl Hoffmann: Very useful but would love to have smaller increments. lets say 5 or 10, or just specify minutes.
- (2023-12-11) Marcelle Combrinck: Please add min options also Eg 15 min 45min 90min
- (2023-11-10) Benjamin Rauch: Why is Google unable to develop this extremely useful feature?
- (2023-11-06) Rambling Josh: This does what I want, mostly. Inputting the time via the title is a bit finicky, but not a huge problem. My big problem is that it only seems to support 1h increments. I haven't found a way to do say, 1.5h or 45m, every string format I've tried either bugs out or fails entirely. Even still, this is way closer to the functionality that I want than I originally had, so I'll take it. Most of my tasks want to be either 30m or 1h anyways.

- (2023-08-22) Josh McEwen: Love it so far. I'd love to have smaller increments of 15 m if that is possible. Either way I'm stoked to have this!

- (2023-07-17) Pretty good. I'd find it even more helpful if you could set if to "Example (3d)", drag it to all day for a day, and have it show a bar\task for 3 days, basically mimicking that it has a start date. I tried "Example (48h), dragged it to all daym, but it didn't work.
- (2023-07-09) Riccardo Garramone: The extension is awesome, but i can't understand why it doesn't make task in minutes

- (2023-04-18) Rafael Bucker: This is awesome. A bit glitchy, but very useful. One improvement would be allow for fractions of time like 25 min, 50 min...
- (2023-03-04) Toju Ajeks: Works perfect! Whoever made this needs to be hired by Google ASAP! Color coding would be a welcome additional feature btw

- (2023-02-17) Tom Schmittzehe: This is a fantastic tool - and I've been looking for this for so long, thank you! ... One request though - it would be even more amazing if you could set a task duration over several days, which would then help turn your calendar into a project planning tool (so, to allow you to see extended tasks, or projects, over multiple days). Is this a feature you could build please? Currently, a task can't extend beyond one day on your calendar. Thanks!

- (2022-11-16) Rafael Benavent: Good but a couple bugs: - Task extended duration get hidden by events - Setting a task's time to 30min causes things to glitch - Need to refresh to view updated task durations

This has been a feature of Google tasks that I've been longing for for a very long time! I found this extension after reading online at this thread: https://www.googlecloudcommunity.com/gc/Workspace-Q-A/Add-duration-to-tasks-in-Google-Tasks/td-p/168286 Thank you so much, CFDev, for being a champion of progress! I just installed it and it works wonders. Bless you! Jonathan
