  • (2025-05-23) Alex Velazquez: This has saved me a bunch of time from writing long emails that automatically deleted, or doing things in my browser that I couldnt recover. So much wasted time, saved.
  • (2025-05-20) n ascentt: After using Typio and Lazarus for years, i found and switched to Form History Control (ii) out of desperation from constantly losing typed text on websites. However I dont think Form History Control has ever worked for me, the context menus never restory anything and the main window is always loading
  • (2025-04-28) Kai Kemmann: Indispensable! Thank you for FormHistoryControl - while sometimes buggy it has already saved me hours of work. I just donated 20 € via Paypal for the effort. This is Stephan's account in case anyone would want to do the same: [email protected]
  • (2025-03-25) brucemc777: I was quite afraid this extension was going to lapse; i have seen nothing else close to it available and i find the capabilities invaluable. I don't know if i first started using it while searching for such an extension or if i just wanted to try test it and see, but i do know i would have been very disappointed if Stephan could not update it to comply with whatever updates Chrome made and would likely switch browsers to something it could run on-
  • (2025-03-24) Steve Chambers: Such a useful extension, can be a real life-saver! Delighted to see it's been "brought back from the dead" pretty quickly after Chrome disabled it - big Kudos to the developer for that.
  • (2025-03-08) XMusic MusicX: PLEASE bring this back.
  • (2025-03-05) Slurpwis: RIP chrome killed it.
  • (2025-02-22) David J Gill: THIS IS A FANTASTIC EXTENSION. WHY DOES GOOGLE SYSTEMATICALLY DESTROY THE MOST USEFUL EXTENSIONS OTHER CREATE AND SUBSEQUENTLY MAKE GOOGLE CHROME SUCK MORE AND MORE ALL THE TIME. IT'S PTY THIS ONE NOW ONLY OCCASIONALLY FUNCTIONS WELL.
  • (2025-01-29) D TJH: love to see some privacy policy and ideally being open source as it can save a lot of things. right now using it very limitedly to ensure credentials are safe.
  • (2024-06-09) Brooks Golden: Doesn't work anymore... used to be such a great extension
  • (2024-04-09) Etownster Guy: Better than nothing but not by much. Clunky interface, inconsistent in saving forms and a pain to retrieve previous saves.
  • (2024-04-09) PeaceBy Jesus: This works to save and recover text on may sites (not passwords though in my experience), thus it can save a lot of work. However, it does not work on Quora.com. Nothing is as good in this realm as the old Firefox Lazarus extension, but Form History control is actually the only Chrome extension I have found that does save most.
  • (2024-03-15) Aristóteles Benício: What a GREAAAT extension !!!
  • (2024-03-06) Grue Turtle: Another user said '. If any unwanted individual or software infected your computer it is just a click away from revealing literally all of your personal info'. In that scenario they can just use a keylogger and see everything you ever type anywhere. Also, 'Do save form history in private browsing mode', 'Enable/Disable history per domain', 'Disable history for specific fields' and 'Automatic cleanup periodically' are options, as is 'clean up now'. I disagree with the security concerns expressed by the other user. Seems to be a good replacement for now-dead Typio Form Recovery.
  • (2023-10-19) Travis Bemrose: NOT a tool to edit Chrome's built in form-fill data. It's a replacement tool.

  • (2023-07-06) Mel Gibbs: This remembers literally everything you wouldn't want it to and hardly anything you would hope for. Way too unprotected. If any unwanted individual or software infected your computer it is just a click away from revealing literally all of your personal info, what it belongs to, and matching website information along with timestamps. Moreover, saves things like credit card numbers when you tell google to NOT or NEVER remember the information when prompted, and without even obtaining verification or giving the option to password protect the numerous pages of logged fields within the extension at least. This is already breaking the content privacy & safety requirements that Google states it upholds through its offered extensions in the webstore.

  • (2022-04-28) Nonaym Foryu: This used to work amazingly! ...Until it stopped, which I only discovered thanks to having a post I had spent several hours on eaten by accidentally clicking away. I'm pretty sure the whitelist feature just doesn't function properly, and without that it clogs up the browser memory with input I don't care about.

  • (2021-09-17) Jon Jablon: Has saved my butt on many occasions! Should be built-in to every browser. Simple UI, works well right "out of the box". Great extension.
  • (2020-01-27) Ed Love: Absolutely superb! I can't add anything to what the others have said. A life saver.

  • (2019-10-22) Shravan Kothari: Coming from Firefox with the same extension, and since I need to use Chrome for work I was glad it's available on the Web Store too. Does what it's meant to really well, and apart from a slightly outdated-looking UI this extension is perfect.

  • (2019-08-05) Harold Horsman: This extension should be standard in every browser. It is indeed a lifesaver for everyone who edited something on the web (e.g. that long webmail that you were typing, or that enormous form) and then had his/her data lost for some reason. With FHC you can get it back again!

  • (2018-11-07) Victor Lugo: I am a longtime user of this on Firefox and was searching for something similar on Chrome. I was very surprised to find it here! I hope the developer keeps this version maintained despite the low amount of reviews. it's a godsend.
