WE DO NOT COLLECT YOUR NAME, EMAIL ADDRESS, OR OTHER SENSITIVE PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION. The notice you will see is from Google and the wording is outside of our control.
Progressive Shopper provides an easy way to keep track of the political contributions made by the companies you shop at. For any website where we have data - we will show a small ribbon on the right-hand side of the browser that will be:
Green: They mostly support Democrats
Yellow: They are bipartisan in their contributions
Red: They mostly give to Republicans
By clicking on the ribbon you get a wealth of information about the brands - as well as information on which competitors might better match your values.
Please note that if the user chooses to click on a competitor, they may be redirected to the brands' sites via affiliate links.

- (2022-08-03) Monica Gonzalez: This extension doesn't work. The website hasn't worked since the beginning of July and that kind of sucks.
- (2022-07-27) Masubuchi Togo: I installed it because I wanted to spend money at a company that supports the Republican Party. I want to avoid far-left and liberal companies, global warming scam sponsors, and radical feminist companies ,as much as possible. I also disagree with ethical consumption. But It dosen't work.
- (2022-07-04) Katy Hardy: Love the idea, but the extension doesn't do anything. It's still just grey no matter which sites I visit, including ones I know the site has made determinations on.
- (2022-07-04) Cami Rodgers: the website doesn't let me search anything and the chrome extension doesn't work either on the few brands/stores I tried to use it on.
- (2022-07-04) Marcela Solis: Its great....when it works
- (2022-07-01) Olivia Maya: VERY VERY INFORMATIVE AND HELPFUL. I recommend everyone to use this if you care about where your money goes and what it supports.
- (2022-07-01) Jamie Schulman: Overall very helpful. Would like to have even more detail! But love being able to have the choice of where I want to give my money and knowing where that money goes!
- (2022-06-29) Anastasia Savage: I like it for the most part, I find it very helpful - I would also like to see which politicians the companies donate to, and more of a breakdown on how much the company actually spends in political donations each year.
- (2022-05-08) Britt S: Big fan of this extension. This is the first extension I've bothered "rating" because I appreciate this technology a lot to give the GOP less money at any chance possible.
- (2021-05-13) Graham Douglas: Gonna love using this to support conservative companies!
- (2020-11-13) Pinball Preparedness: This is EXACTLY what I wanted! I needed to know what companies supported progressive causes so I could make sure to NEVER support them! This tells me which companies are Communist, Bernie Sanders/AOC Traitors. I share this with EVERYONE I know so we can put everyone of these despicable companies out of business!
- (2020-07-11) Clara Burns: I enjoy the concept of the extension, but would enjoy more information on how the political leanings are tracked. A few companies that I know to lean left were rated with over 90% donations to conservatives. The information as to how these percentages were calculated could shed light on this extension and companies. It would also be useful to have more mid size buisnesses included. Not large chain corporations, but also not individual small buisnesses.
- (2020-06-27) franny pie.: i can't wait for this to grow and include even more sites!! it makes it so easy to keep yourself informed without even thinking about it. 100000/10
- (2019-12-10) Barnaby Woods: Man, talk about put your money where your mouth is. I absolutely love this extension. Really good work here. When a site pops up that contributes to my party and supports lolli.com for a bitcoin rebate after purchase, I fall in love instantly. Thanks devs!
- (2019-06-15) Tiffany Neumann: I'll come back after I use it, but my first impression is that I wish the about language was not so partisan. While I do not align with Republicans on anything, I would still prefer to use a tool designed to be impartial. I go out of my way to keep myself out of an echo chamber so that I may remain confident in the accuracy of my knowledge base.
- (2019-01-17) Seth Marbin [he - him]: I've been testing this out for a few weeks now and it's great! This is an easy way to align your spending with your progressive politics and so far it's been helpful, informative, and it runs smoothly (mostly in the background). While we really do need to get corporate money out of politics, as long as it's still in there, let's shine some light on it!
