Joplin Search Integration
Description from store

This extension integrates Joplin notes into your search results, making it easier to find relevant information from your personal notes while searching online.

Features:
• Shows related Joplin notes alongside regular search results
• Supports multiple search engines: Google, Bing, Baidu, DuckDuckGo, Searx, and MetaGer
• Preview notes directly in search results

Setup Instructions:
1. You'll need your Joplin Web Clipper token and port
2. Find these in Joplin: Tools > Options > Web Clipper

Troubleshooting:
For Brave browser users: If search results don't appear, you'll need to disable shields for the search engine website you're using.

Like others noted, this is strangely much more useful than what I thought! Kudos to @rxliuli for the awesome integration. The *only* thing I would add would be to highlight the keywords on the page that gets opened, so that you don't need to search *twice*. That said, I had no idea this is something you could do with Joplin. I'm always considering abandoning Joplin for something with less annoying bugs, but every now and then, something makes me return to Joplin again... like this extension!

There has been an issue, the plugin keep sending a system message as following, and I quote "Joplin Search Integration: Please enable joplin webclipper service. check: http://127.0.0.1:41184/ping". Any fix?

This extension works very well, much more useful that I would have thought. The only downside is actually an issue with Joplin, where searches are ordered by an algorithm that ends up putting them in a seemingly random order of results that just about always puts what I am looking for way down the list. If that issue was addressed, then this extension would be able to also list the results in a more usable order, like chronological, for example. Otherwise, this extension is great and does exactly what it is supposed to do.

A convenient way to get info from Joplin right from the browsers's search... what's not to love?

Super extension - just what one needs to be reminded of already having the info somewhere in my 1000+ notes.

Excellent extension for Joplin users. Conveniently shows hits from Joplin to the right of results from the Web. Renders a followed link to a Joplin note right there in Firefox! Thank you, Rxliuli
