• (2024-10-19) manuel forero: Hey, just an update, I don't know what's up with the extension, but it's causing YouTube to be really unresponsive to me as a result. Edit: So it has to do with settings with the Sidebar, currently disabling them for right now. Can you be sure to look into this? Edit: The YouTube Redux is causing playlists to not autoplay! Edit: It's being unresponsive again today. I think it might have something to do with a YouTube update. (It's with Restore YouTube Dislikes, focus on that.)
• (2024-03-28) Ty S: This extension did indeed do what it promoted and said what it will do. But sadly, the new UI and interface YouTube just added in the new update completely broke the extension and now it's just a complete jumbled mess lol. I'll bump this review back up to 5 stars once the Dev updates this extension and gets' it working again. 5/10/2023 Edit: Everything works now, but there's just two problems. I'm unable to see dislikes, & the top bar remains dark on Theater Mode when in Light Mode. 3/27/2024: it's been breaking constantly over the past few months with little updates removing some bugs, but adding some more in so i'm gonna have to take this down to 3 stars for now until its fully functional. half of the features just straight up don't work anymore even after a reinstall so idk if this is my cup of tea anymore.

• (2023-10-29) Jokuc :3: Great addon, but some features do not work. For example "move play next", "border around sub count", "remove text of like/view count". Videos previews do not work on the front page when you hover over videos, only in search results. I wish there was a way to set the background color to the modern dark instead of the grey one on front page, search and video page.

• (2023-10-18) Elijah Wallen: I like how this makes YouTube look older and more square, however there are still a few adjustments needed like some buttons or other layouts are still round. Overall, this is a pretty decent extension to make this look like old YouTube.

• (2023-08-31) Fabian Wenzel: If you use the YouTube Redux extension permanently, as I do, at a certain point the settings wheel in the YouTube video player disappears. This makes it impossible to adjust the video quality and to enable or disable subtitles, which is annoying. The rest of the extension works flawlessly. I love this extension because finally I can see the YouTube user interface again the way I like it best.

• (2023-08-25) Stephen De Carlo (Fuzunga): Today I got hit with the dreaded update that smashes everything into a box next to the video player. Was relieved to find this plugin, but unfortunately it only changes the sidebar, channel pages, and the subscription feed. The homepage displays absolutely nothing and the actual video player is completely unchanged, with everything still squished into a box. I hope you can update it soon, and of course I will change my rating if it starts working.

• (2023-08-11) User: good but the fade effect in the home page ruins it all. edit: finally the subscribe button is fixed edit 2: youtube messed it up again. when you click on a video. the profile picture changes into "null". and the word sometimes duplicates. and the dislikes disappear and the subscribe button disappears. note: this only happens for some users. this was caused by a stupid youtube update

• (2023-08-08) Dzidzgkorn: Great extension overall but there are two bugs which really affect the experience. Channel layout has been messed up by new Youtube update. Also, sometimes the area where dislikes are located, is replaced with 3 dots (Transcript and Report Channel buttons), otherwise I have no issues.

I can understand not being able to bring back the 2000s youtube layout but I don't think it's impossible to do the 2012 one
