Cookie pop-ups are designed to be confusing and make you 'agree' to be tracked. This add-on automatically answers consent pop-ups for you, so you can't be manipulated. Set your preferences once, and let the technology do the rest!
This add-on is built and maintained by workers at Aarhus University in Denmark. We are privacy researchers that got tired of seeing how companies violate the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Because the organisations that enforce the GDPR do not have enough resources, we built this add-on to help them out.
We looked at 680 pop-ups and combined their data processing purposes into 5 categories that you can toggle on or off. Sometimes our categories don't perfectly match those on the website, so then we will choose the more privacy preserving option.
The first version of this add-on works with 4 popular pop-ups: Cookiebot, OneTrust, QuantCast, and TrustArc. The add-on is open source, so anyone can add additional pop-ups through our template system: https://github.com/cavi-au/Consent-O-Matic.

- works nicely though it is a bit annoying that the page is "locked" when there's a lot of cookies to decline and the extension is clicking through it for you (it's just a few seconds, but still) if you live in EU they are working on making it simpler to decline cookies, than the current solution where its a circus. But that could take a couple of years (i dont recall !)

- It works almost always, however I noticed some time ago that many web pages started loading incorrectly. Sometimes fonts don’t load, sometimes scripts or images don’t load. I had to refresh the page several times for it to load as intended, so for now, I’ll disable it

- Really like the idea and that a reliable provider has provided such an app. It works amazingly, when it works. There is an option to report the webpages it does not work on to the provider. I'm looking forward to seeing how the tool develops.

- Installed and first 3 sites (heise.de, computerbild.de and bmw.de) I tried and it was not working: It seemed to "click around" and at the end cookie popup was still displayed! Very disappointing and completely useless... Then I installed good old "I don't care about cookies" extension and reloaded "heise.de" website - cockie popup was immediately gone! So unfortunately this extension is pretty useless - rather stay with "I don't care about cookies" which at least works on most of the websites.

- Really makes a difference when browsing websites, especially visiting new ones. I like that the extension has the option to automatically minimize the cookie pop-ups afterwards. You can see the extension working and it's so satisfying!

- Running this with Vivaldi browser (cookie sources blocked through Vivaldi as well). Pulled up multiple journal article sites and haven't seen a cookie pop-up yet. Very happy!

However, it has to be a frequently used cookie consent form service(CMPs) to be used. - Niche website or a website with their own cookie consent form will not work with this app. + Works with some of the popular cookie consent services(CMPs). Recommend to keep it installed just in case when this extension is able to work. to dev: please increase the ammount of cookie consent service and possibly microsoft's cookie consent or other services like google. - Yeah... not impressed. Barely seems to work half the time; and on top of that, my desktop has shown significant slowdown since installing... personally, reckon I was better off just paying for adblock premium. Long story short - if you want a more effective cookie blocker, I'd suggest looking elsewhere.

- I visited www.coches.net. It detects the cookie pop-up, it handles it...and THEN it forcefully takes me to the main page. This means it is impossible to browse the website.

- Great extension that basically does the clicking for you in the background based on your preference. Can be disabled if it doesn't work on a specific site. Simply submit the site and help improve the extension. Open source so secure and transparent!

- These kind of extensions are never going to be perfect, but if you read the description and follow the developers request to submit a site that doesn't work maybe we'll have more sites that work with this than do not. Don't be like basic girl below and simply regurgitate nonsense after testing it for a extremely brief period of time.

- It's a godsent 99% of the time. Every so often a site flips out with the extension enabled and you have to toggle it off but I've had to do that twice since I installed it when it was first released.

- I want to love this extension, but in my experience it doesn't work on most websites. :( I'm using "I Still Don't Care About Cookies" instead: less options, but it works flawlessly. Hope to see this one improve though, maybe I'll come back.

- This extension is a wonder. I have blocked cookie notices using filters and ublock origins. But sometimes this isn't enough or site functionality is broken. This extension has picked up some of these issues and solved them for me. Thank you
