Chromecast with Drive, Casts a media file from URL or from Google Drive using Google Chrome Cast.
It also supports cast internet radio(mp3 type) to chromecast.
Provides connect with Google Drive, you can cast the media file in Google Drive.

- (2018-12-24) Jonny Azrim: Correction, this JS API does not support many common file types including AVI file. Make sure your video is MP3 or MP4 before casting, otherwise either remux the video or use a diffrent casting app. My entire collection of Disiney Films is AVI, I can only watch them on the laptop till I find a diffrent app to use. There is no problem with this API per say, it's just tricky to use it if you don't know what your doing. It took me the whole day to figure out this API The best way to look for a video to cast with this API, is 123movies, find a movie you like (the adverts are annoying but keep closing them and you will get your movie) get your movie playing on mirror 3, right click the page near the video player click inspect, click on network, select media, and look for a file name or link that has a video file format at the end of it. right click on it, select copy link, paste in to the source link bar in this API and play play through your chromecast on your tv. If you want to download that movie, open a new tab, paste the file or link in the address bar and hit enter. The video should open, full screen the size of the open window. Check the video is playing both sound and video of the correct film and both the begining and the end of the play bar. If everything is ok, click the menu button in your browser and select save page as, check the file name is the name of the movie and rename if nesicary. Make sure the file format is .mp4 then save. Then you can upload that to your google drive, and play that on this API for your information by the way I scored 29 in dan kileys peter pan syndrome test, in his book ha ha the doctors were wrong I do have Peter pan syndrome and I can proove it. I been tested by dan kiley.

- (2017-07-31) Alan Winston: No way to try & remove - there apparently is no actual app or extension, but there must be a script that hijacks all your file associations for media file types. Each file type will have to have its default changed manually. You may want to use "Block Site" extension to keep from constantly going to what may be a malware website.

Further, it's a pain in the neck because every time I double click on my picture in Google drive it just loads their website. Annoying and useless for me. Can't figure out how to get rid of it easily
