  • (2020-12-12) Daniel Hsieh: Really good. Simpler than many other music notation software, like MuseScore.
  • (2020-11-10) PK Epix: honestly the only real problem i have with it is that the one thing i wanna write with is behind a paywall
  • (2019-11-29) Ethan Riem: I get that it gets easier with practice, but with how hard this is to use, I genuinely think you're better off learning real piano. This program is profoundly challenging to use, And I saw no tutorial. It really is a well made bitlet of software, But this thing made me question my musical talent when piano was one of the only things I considered myself good at. In conclusion, It's pretty darm good, But it's very hard to use and that fact kind of ruins it's quality
  • (2018-08-13) Biscuit xoxo: Didnt work I cant even edit videos on here
  • (2018-08-13) Sing Song: very good
  • (2018-07-08) Alex Pacheco: Awesome and easy to use
  • (2018-07-08) Darin Searcy: Beautiful, clean interface. Simpler and more user friendly than MuseScore, though slightly less powerful. It's perfect for doing drumset scores. It automatically uses the "x" notehead for high hat and cymbals. Very easy to get all drum parts using just the two available voices. Highly recommended.
  • (2018-06-02) Adoradores Hermosa: I love it.
  • (2018-05-06) Rachael Shorb: Wow. Where to begin. I really liked this at first, but now, I have to say that this software is so buggy and has so little support and education information on how to use it that it renders the program completely useless. I made the mistake of trying to rely on this software to write up some sheet music and found a few bugs (or lack of feature) so now I have to start the entire thing over by scratch. Using a pencil and paper. I don't know if they allow for multiple lines of lyrics, but if they do, you would never know because their documentation on adding text is so nonexistent I could barely find anything on the subject. Not to mention removing text. There is basically nothing written on the subject. And it seemed to glitch every time I added text - I'd click another note, and it would copy and paste the text. It was extremely difficult to remove. Then I learned that there was no intuitive way to add a second line of lyrics. Again, I don't know if they even have this feature because nothing is written on the subject. Or if it is, it's next to impossible to find. The real kicker however was when my sheet music went onto a second page. I was adding lyrics, and come to the bottom of page 1, when I find that the last system is cut off. I could see the chords above the system, but the rest of it was cut off, and then I saw page 2 and realized the glitch. That's when I realized I would have to start over the whole project by hand. Pencil and Paper. I had to go out to buy pencils just so I could finish this project. I am extremely upset, not just at this company but at myself for thinking I could rely on it. I will not bother with this software again, as it is completely unreliable, and worthless for actually creating useful lead sheets or sheet music.
  • (2018-03-28) Blanc: tab won't load in chrome - meaningful error message provided. useless
  • (2018-03-11) Dane M: Although some features are limited (not by free/premium requirements, just the limitations of the software) this is my favorite scorewriting software. The design is neat and clean, and the editing tools are extremely well-organised. No digging around in different menus for your tools. The 24/7 support is wonderful too. Highly recommend Flat! One issue I face is playback. If the music is too fast or there are too many notes, the audio tends to cut out and renders playback useless. I hope this gets fixed soon.
  • (2017-12-26) Dietrich Hitt: Very good and very easy to write the music but the navigation is extremely frustrating at times. For example, sometimes a staff falls at that awkward point where it's not at the bottom of a page but also not at the next page, so the section is virtually inaccessible. Or how the scroll bars completely disappear frequently (and the arrow keys don't do the job) and thus I am slowed down very much just trying to go to a different section of the music. The latter issue wasn't a problem before, not sure why it is now. If these issues were not present I would give this app five stars, no question.
  • (2017-12-17) Keith Threadgold: It's excellent. Very intuitive. I'm using it for drums and it really is a great program. Thanks guys for a brilliant job.
  • (2017-10-17) Dick Johnston: I love it
  • (2017-10-03) Channel Contention: Hooray! Music Days Are Over.
  • (2017-08-08) Quil-Chan: The app is smooth, but I have a problem with the play back the string instruments kinda sound like horns that is truly my only problem with the app.
  • (2017-06-02) cristian andres Caballero: genial
  • (2017-05-25) William Cusick: It is really cool if you want to right in a certain style but I can't stand it to write guitar tabs. I wish it was more optimized for that and not just sheet music.
  • (2017-05-22) Clarke Helms: I use flat for composing score for my videos. It works very well, and it is easy to use. I found out about it from a friend. Five stars.
  • (2017-05-13) Kieran Gilchrist: Great app, great service and impressive vision.
  • (2017-04-03) Keith Walker: I wanted to write a new review Flat - with mud on my face!! My prior review, which I deleted, was rather harsh and I want to apologize to the makers of this program for giving it only two stars the first time. After I tried another notation program (Noteflight), I came back to Flat and I am so glad I gave it a second chance! So much so, I purchased a yearly subscription!! It REALLY is a very nice little program and now that I got the hang of it - it's a breeze and a lot of fun! Excellent job!!
  • (2017-03-21) t brown: the creators are very responsive and they care about making this the premire app for composition of what for many is our religion music and within such walls we will be forgiven the process takes the people and not merely the willingness to try it out but the feedback to help this become ours and like a song we get better harmony by the tentative touch we keep betweeen us and those crafting its design
  • (2017-03-04) This is such an easy way to compose. it is very simple and is easy to access. The note grouping could be a setting though. The notes always group weirdly and it would be fantastic if it was an option in measure to change the grouping. I Love Flat so much!
  • (2017-02-25) Yagaira Lopez: its horrible
  • (2017-02-04) Lucius Czarnekke: A very good idea in theory (free to use shareable music notation software,) however, in practice, it's slow, crashes frequently, and has many, many issues. Add in the fact that the app has become somewhat unusable due to the rapid conversion of regular features to premium only features, and it begins to seem more and more like flat just isn't worth your time.
  • (2017-01-23) master sgp: ok google
  • (2017-01-17) SHAW ROZ XHARMA: like it
  • (2017-01-15) Shivam kain: very good app
  • (2017-01-08) Samantha Gaetz: i liked the idea of it but it wasn't working up to the standards i was hoping for
  • (2017-01-01) Paul Adams: Always moving forwards. I am following with great interest.
  • (2016-11-19) Fox Drawer: the milasecond i watched the video i hated it...all i have to say...is it has a horrible name...*sasheys hair and stalks away*
  • (2016-09-25) Mike roberson: I love this. I do think they could add some more features. But overall it is one of the best Music Scoring site I have seen. :D
  • (2016-09-24) Miriamu: I LIKE IT :)
  • (2016-09-16) Aaron Reingold: I think it is very good, especially after the update. They are constantly adding improvements to this.
  • (2016-09-16) utube4use: good one, still missing feature like controlling rolling chords, or vibrating, slide, etc ... a bit time to get use to it.editing note should stay in that note instead of jumping to next one. Instruments missing some like block, bell, which I use the most, or they are hiding somewhere I cant find.
  • (2016-09-14) John Ewens: Couldn't find how to add more bars on the non- education version but edu version seems to do it.
  • (2016-09-12) Stiven Sánchez: Perfect idea; but, it is quite expensive
  • (2016-09-11) Bethany Muczynski: WONDERFUL software. HOWEVER: only the first two scores are free :'(
  • (2016-09-06) Levi Willrich: The ONLY problem with this app is the lack of simile marks
  • (2016-09-06) Joe Gariano: Beautiful app, great features, very responsive support, and reasonable subscription fee. Doesn't get much better than this.
  • (2016-08-22) Doan Giap Van: nice
  • (2016-08-16) Tim and Amy Cotten: As a worship pastor, I write out music in Finale nearly every day. This app will not replace Finale. But I absolutely LOVE the idea of having a useful, shareable, free app to help me capture a few musical ideas wherever I am. Great job, Flat!
