Spelunky is a cave exploration / treasure-hunting game inspired by classic platform games and roguelikes, where the goal is to grab as much treasure from the cave as possible. Every time you play the cave's layout will be different. Use your wits, your reflexes, and the items available to you to survive and go ever deeper! Perhaps at the end you may find what you're looking for...

Jolyne Atchley 2022-08-26: Okay, just want to point this out: The controls are perfect for it's original release date. WASD is just weird. The RIGHT hand is used for moving (why it's so good). This is a MALWARE free version, so don't get it confused. You CAN'T unlock characters. You can press the search key and the refresh key (or just f3 for windows) for 99 hearts.
A A (Sammy The 2nd) 2022-06-06: Controls are bad, you can accidentally set rope while trying to jump, you can't use WASD, and you can't jump by using space. And the sound design is bad too. Oh sorry, WHAT sound design?? It's eerily quiet with absolutely NO music or sound. It's just a very bad experience.

gmdhealth 2021-11-27: I love this game, first of all you all have to stop complaining, i could tell you guys one thing who are all complaining, "Get good at the game"", first up the jump glitch is easily fixed by going to the scores, then going in and pushing the push tile to the restart pressure plate, there you go, if it doesn't work try again, if it keeps not working then uninstall and then install again, now there are people saying that it's endless, it's not endless, you have to get to olmec in level 16, and make him fall in lava, and die there, then you have to leave and there you go you beat the game, and for bombs just hold down and press a, and get away, there are more stuff i could have told you guys like shopkeeper robbing strats, secret levels, advanced strats, but learn yourself it wasn't that hard for me.
Declan Brewer 2021-10-04: I finally beat this game today... I am very satisfied with it. However, progress is not saved so no trophies, but a couple of tricks I found... If you press the f3 key (search + refresh key on a chromebook) you get 99 lives which you can refill whenever you want, so you're basically invincible (except for spikes and lava, any insta-kill basically) so that's awesome and, if you do manage to find the black market, if you go to the shop where you can roll the dice, if you have the spring shoes or a jetpack, you can throw the shopkeeper's dice at him and he will get mad, but no one else will. So you can basically steal the stuff from the other shops but you won't be wanted by the shopkeepers. Really fun. Also, I did a speedrun, and my best time was 6 minutes and 17 seconds. If you beat that, and give me proof, I'll give you a cookie.

Truper_Timmy 2021-05-04: I like the game play, just a few things to fix: 1. Running into a movable block is equal to it falling on you. 2. "Dark levels" are as bright as day 3. Suggestion: when you get eaten by the plant, maybe add a few seconds to be able to escape instead of dying right away. 4. There is no high score 5. Maybe make stuff a little more cheaper in shops? 6. I would like the crate glitch again. Other than these things, I really like the game. Five stars if fixed.
