An Ethereum Wallet in your Browser
NekoMask is an extension for accessing Ethereum enabled distributed applications, or "Dapps" in your browser!
The extension injects the Ethereum web3 API into every website's javascript context, so that dapps can read from the blockchain.
NekoMask also lets the user create and manage their own identities (via private keys, local client wallet and hardware wallets like Trezor™), so when a Dapp wants to perform a transaction and write to the blockchain, the user gets a secure interface to review the transaction, before approving or rejecting it.
Because it adds functionality to the normal browser context, NekoMask requires the permission to read and write to any webpage.

- (2022-11-29) Marcell Petras: NekoMask's developers have a strong vision of a more secure and transparent DeFi, and this application is the epitome of their philosophy. Improvements like requiring more complex passwords, implementing 2FA, and providing a quick disconnect may not appear to be significant, but they do add up and contribute a lot to keeping your digital assets secure. Another big selling point for me is that transaction fees are channeled back to the community and distributed in ethereum, which not only provides a good passive revenue opportunity, but also helps in moving away from centralization and giving back to the community. On the UX front, I really like the dark mode, and the application looks amazing overall. However, I would refrain from supporting multiple languages unless a human translator verified their accuracy, because when I use the app in my native language, the text sometimes feels unnatural or outright unintelligible.

Loving the added security features (2FA, mass disconnect from all connect sites etc), as well as a cheap way to swap tokens within the wallet. Add the above to the fact that all transaction fees done within the wallet go back to Neko holders, you essentially have free, secure transactions on all crypto!
