In its relentless pursuit to extract every ounce of profit, Amazon added an AI shopping assistant you didn't ask for. (Recently rebranded from "Rufus" to "Alexa for Shopping" — same intrusive AI, new name.)
It inserts itself into navigation, opens chat panels unprompted, offers unsolicited suggestions, and generally refuses to mind its own business. Adios Alexa for Shopping makes it all disappear so you can shop in peace.
Enabled by default. It just works. There's a toggle if you really want to turn it off, but seriously, why would you.

- Great extension! Recently that stupid flyout started popping up every third search or so, and it gets really annoying, especially when you're searching like crazy trying to find the perfect item. I don't want Alexa's help, not ever, but there's no way to remove it. This was a treat to take care of that. That said, is there any way to add options to separate the flyout from some of the other features? This extension also removes the 'Search this page' feature, which removes the ability to search reviews and questions. I know that also has an Alexa function too but you can usually just ignore it and click 'Show related customer reviews and Q&A.' But with this extension enabled you can't get to that at all. I use that on almost every product I look at, so losing that is almost worse than getting rid of the flyout. Thanks!

- Does the work, completely removes it. I tried customer service, they know about the complaints, but corporate ain't moving on the topic. I tried telling her direction to stop popping up, nothing. But this, does the work. However, there's no option to use their "price history" or "set price alert" features which were the highlight of their "ai" model.

- Okay, granted, I JUST installed this, but it IMMEDIATELY refreshed the page without me doing anything and the INCREDIBLY invasive and annoying Alexa for shopping pop out menu disappeared! I was previously using a script in my Brave browser and it had just stopped working today, so I went in search of another solution. I AM SO HAPPY this extension exists and I can't THANK YOU enough for creating it and making it available. BLESS YOU!!!

- Worked like a charm. Shopping for a house and every single item popped up with this obnoxious toolbar side chat window asking me questions about normal stuff I'm ordering. I just want to shop in peace, I avoid stores because I want to look for things myself. - Does not work well for me. The view of my search does not include Alexa for shopping (yay) BUT... all the product pictures and description for my searched items go off the page under the cart to the right side of the page. The cart section seems to be floating over the page instead of being stuck next to the searched items.

- This app worked instantly. I spent an hour trying to disable this "Alexa for shopping" prompt that repeatedly popped up and took 1/3 of my window screen. It's funny that Amazon's AI feature ruins the shopping experience for many consumers, and Amazon's customer service (AI or live person) can't help you turn the feature off. If this app didn't exist, I think many of us would have eventually stopped shopping on Amazon. The fact that there is no simple "disable" button makes me think this was an inside job. Someone at Amazon is secretly trying to sabotage the company and lose Amazon customers LOL.
