- (2021-03-06) Ben Desmedt: I wish I had the same results as some of the other reviewers here, Unfortunately I have been very dissapointed. I haven't been able to make it show subtitles
- (2021-01-22) M: Using it on ChromeOS because Play Store is not enabled. Sometimes when using the VLC webstore app, subtitles will not work, so I use this instead. Quick and robust. Only downside is that for videos with multiple audio tracks, it plays no audio. Otherwise, okay app for ChromeOS.
- (2020-10-02) nacer douh: work with google drive?
- (2020-02-21) Jeremy Blakley: Good effort. But my dislike is that the subtitles display with black behind them. A visible black area behind the subtitle. I find this to be distracting, and would prefer to only see text. NO Black...
- (2019-12-20) Camila Falk: I can't uninstall this extension!
- (2019-11-06) Vitalyon: No sound
- (2019-09-19) monte cristo: Excellent application.
- (2019-08-12) Atahan Uysaler: great app, is there any way to turn off the shadow behind the subtitle?
- (2019-07-03) John Manson: So far for the last 2 and a half years this has been my "go-to" video player. Not just on my Chromebook but I even prefer it over many others on Windows 10. I've learned it usually seems you have to always take the good with (more times then not) the bad with these's apps in paticular. But this one has only gave me trouble a small amount of times. I absolutely LOVE the "speed" control! Most others always concentrate on Fast motion (alrhough the speed in fast motion with this goes 10x more higher then the latter does go down). But its well put ttogether and probably the best or one of, for free u will find. The speed controller does't glich tht much and it really captures everything decently opposed too others tht lag, create blocking artifacts within the vid, etc. I noticed it does ONLY very slightly degrade video quality. All in All as with any video player i think tho, it all depends on what ur watching and the quality of the source to begin with. I give this 4 stars ONLY because its been years that its had the keyboard shortcuts to drop down and display and the only one/feature tht does not work tht at the time I wanted it for still remains as if it does lol. But if its tht big of a deal to anyone you can always just pause it and use ur device to take one. Thanks to (Last to mention) the most notable feature to me at least is that you can pause ur vid and insted of that annoying "play bar control panel" im sure we all know to much, hence youtube, etc that pops up before u get ur figure off the space bar. This app is nice enough to immediately! take it away! I do wish some day you could possibly realease a desktop version/a more in depth-revised version to this, until then, AWESOME app! /m\
- (2019-06-21) lee fowgies: love this bad boy, my only prob is that on the odd acation it wont find subtitles for a film im watching
- (2019-03-29) The Odoro: Does NOT support AVI files.
- (2019-03-26) drcrack head: this app has beaten VLC to trash after recent update it is capable of playing many kinds video format but still lacking some i hope these people will be working on it
- (2019-03-17) Annie E: I really like this little app. Ya, it's not VLC by any stretch of the imagination, but we Chromebookies have limited choices from time to time. It has all sorts of adjustments, but the "help" instructions are a little iffy., I had to just go inside the app and start trying buttons. Here are some things I know it does. I can add multiple files to create a playlist, just highlight all the video files you want to add, right click and open with this app. As far as srt files, you have to manually add them inside of the video. Click on the CC icon and use the arrow symbol. Or, better yet, click on the cloud looking icon, and this genius little freaking program will go fetch the srt, unzip it, and voila, subtitles. I'm a big fan of the cloud icon. You can adjust the timing of the subs if they're a little off. Do this by using the up and down adjustments in caption delay. Right-clicking brings up a plethora of adjustments, go wild. Things I don't like: it won't play avi files, which is a major bummer occasionally. But all around, a very good app.
- (2019-03-09) Ratemo Bikundo: Its the only player capable of loading offline subs ....that I am aware of...
- (2019-02-25) It deleted ALL my stuff! Terrible! But it may not work on Acer chrome book...
- (2019-01-23) Obli Viscor (Obliviscor): It seems impossible to get a video with an included .srt going on a Chromebook. This "app" isn't helping.
- (2018-12-05) Exactly what i was looking for. Works great.
- (2018-10-25) M K: Awesome!
- (2018-09-30) it has very limited uses and fails to offer basic controls. it is the embodiment of chrome os. cheap garbage.
- (2018-09-27) Demi Hensler: It's the best video player, but sometimes when paused the video and will start again it just doesn't work and you need to search the video and start it from the beginning.
- (2018-09-14) Mario Escalante: If you're using Chrome OS, this is the way to go. Perfect? No. But fir this very limited OS it will definitely suffice.
- (2018-06-13) Richard Yusan: work
- (2018-05-09) Hugo Frutuoso: Everithing is ok with subtitle option. Just missed an option to remove the shadow bellow the sub. BIG PROBLEM is no audio!!!Fix it please
- (2018-05-05) Wayne MacKenzie Sr: Subtitle selection seems to be broken and will only do it's own inferior subtitle search. Was glitchy before but at least it recognized srt files before. Basically useless since search has not found a single one of srt files for several videos attempted.
- (2018-05-03) Robbie Smith: Audio drops out when I try to stream large files.
- (2018-04-26) Victoria Trow: Saved my life, been desperate for a player that can have subtitles. What you need to do is download subtitles as an .srt file (a google search should help you find the subs you're looking for), and play the film using this app. I dragged the .srt file onto the viewer and it worked no problem.
- (2018-04-14) Omid Babaei: please do this work that we can move the subtitle place to up or down thank you
- (2018-04-01) Carlos Li: It's the solution to play videos with subtitles on Chromebook. The famous one VLC doesn't work in this platform.
- (2018-03-29) Jay-ar Castillo: not working
- (2018-02-19) Travis Newbold: It cannot play my videos with subtitles at all........
- (2018-02-07) caue “a levix cauema cregox” rego: it works! :)
- (2018-01-23) Akwasi Nyame Adjei: I have to re download the subtitles if I accidentally close the app
- (2018-01-19) Renata C: Very easy to use and simple. I definitely recommend it!
- (2018-01-18) Don Hicks: I love this app because it lets me watch videos with subtitles that I have stored on my local media, which doesn't happen with any other app, so far. I'm slowly figuring out how to use it (e.g., how to switch between 2 subtitle files when using multiple languages). However, I'm having a difficult time finding out how to make the video control bar fade or slide out of the picture, so the controls are not so prominent in front of the video. Does anyone know how to do that?
- (2017-11-10) Rodrigo L. S. Silva: Interesting app. It only lacks the ability to deal with dual audio videos to be perfect. And please, remove the chrome notification that appears every time I open Chrome!
- (2017-11-09) keil b: great app, works great in chromeos when vlc would not.
- (2017-11-04) Juan Malagon: Spammy as hell
- (2017-09-14) DyingtobeinKorea: Needs adjustments on the volume control, and the pause. I want to pause on the screen and not always have to scroll to the pause button. The volume button keeps disappearing when I go to raise or lower it. Nonsense
- (2017-04-09) William Chen (William): easy to use and great UI
- (2017-04-05) Brecht Vanmeirhaeghe: Still having this issue: Command bar disappears completely when you forward to a specific place in the progress bar. Otherwise good app. Can you fix this bug please??
- (2017-03-01) Better than VLC, little bit of problems with the sync with the video and subtitles but great and light app!
- (2017-02-20) Theo Labarthe: Control bar won't disapear it's really annoying, and when it does it's bugged and forever. Can't input most of subtitles, absolutely not intuitive , what the hel* means the first symbol ?? (never seen it ever in any kind of informatic device) I have a question for the devs, what the hell are you thinking did you even try out your application before launching it first ?
