Это расширение предотвращает использование боковых кнопок мыши (4 и 5) для навигации по истории вперёд и назад
FAQ:
Q: Зачем этому расширению доступ для изменения контента всех сайтов?
A: Это разрешение позволяет внедрить 5 строк JavaScript кода для отключения навигации по нажатии боковых кнопок мыши. Вы можете проверить внедряемый код при помощи инструментов разработчика (F12) -> Sources -> Content scripts (в левой части) -> FFMSB. Содержимое этого файла также показано на скриншотах, поскольку больше здесь ничего и не поскриншотить :)
Q: НИЧЕГО НЕ РАБОТАЕЕЕЕТ :((((
A: Работает, но есть 2 исключения :)
1. Chrome Web Store (в целях безопасности здесь расширения не могут использовать content scripts)
2. Меню Chrome, включая весь верхний бар (опять же, там нельзя перехватывать нажатия горячих клавиш, в целях безопасности)
Q: Кому это нужно?
A: В основном - людям, которые используют эти кнопки в других программах параллельно с Chrome - например, в программах голосовой связи в качестве клавиши push-to-talk (тангенты)

- In theorie this works fine, but the issue is that it assumes that mouse 3 and 4 are the extra buttons, but for my mouse for example its 4 and 5, so only 4 gets disabled.

- Sadly, Google is a tiny indie company, and coding something as complex as an option to alter these buttons' behavior would totally crack the budget.

- Works as advertised. Might need to go into settings and enable for all webpages if you don't want to do it manually. I now no longer run the risk of losing data by simply grabbing my mouse wrong.
