Removes the X-Ray node from Amazon while watching videos
Image from store
Description from store
This extension removes the x-ray feature from Amazon Prime Video within 10 seconds of the video starting and keeps it off until the page is refreshed. For those who want to enjoy a video without that annoying popup.
Update 2024-12-25 : Added support for primevideo.com
Update 2024-08-23 : Reworked logic for detecting xray node. Now deletes it more reliably.
Update 2024-06-18 : Should now work for countries other than the US.

- So sad that Amazon forces this feature on people and we need a 3rd party solution. Thank you for fixing Amazons problem!!!

- Thank you! XRay is even more annoying than Amazon's commercials. Thought it was kind of neat until the point where it just would not go away. PrimeVideo X-Ray Blocker did not work but your Amazon XRay Shield does! Just install, no tweaking necessary. Much appreciated. Country = US.

- Worked for me on Chrome in the UK today. It would be even better if it got rid of the black title overlay as well, but getting rid of X-Ray itself is like seeing the sun break through the clouds after a month of rain.

- Works on Brave in the US. Doesn't kill the transport overlay, but does vanish X-Ray after a little bit.

- Works perfectly. I went to my video in Prime Video and waited 10 seconds and it went away. Sometimes it doesn't go away immediately and if I do a refresh on the page, it works.

- Does not seem to work on my macbook pro running catlina 14.5, this is the reason for the 1 star rating.

- Seems to work perfectly. I'll update if it causes problems elsewhere. Using on Chrome. Haven't tried it on Edge yet. Update: Works fine and I'm keeping it. If xray comes back because you are multitasking or playing a game, refresh the page and it works again.l
