- just got this extension since blocktube (albeit being a nice extension) was acting funny. there's context menu options & a manual-adding page! very nice for blocking AI channels :^)

- "add block button to channel"....NO block button "blocks channels on youtube" .... No, no it does not. I am removing this, it's useless. I want to block entire channels with one click, and that extension does not exist.

- Wasn't as good as Blocktube when it worked (still took up space where the video would've been, red x was way too small risking clicking on some garbage) and now it doesn't work at all. There is no red x and none of the filters are working. At least Unhook still works so I can remove the irrelevant "recommendations" sidebar entirely, and Unhook can redirect me to the subscriptions page when I click on the YT icon in the top left.

- This extension is working slightly. idk what happened to the red X button moving from home page, Its now showing on the persons channel no longer on home page so idk if this is working since i don't see the overlay much. The comments get blocked sometimes. I used to use blocktube which is abandoned then i chose this one and it was working good but as of 30th August its been okay not the best. The latest update happened on 27th. I know this extension isn't abandoned so i hope everything gets sorted so it can run smooth

- This was a great extension...when it still worked. As of a few days ago it is no longer functioning, and there haven't been updates from the developer as to whether it will ever be fixed.

- in the current development stage of this extension, i'm not really happy with it (with chrome browser). the previous extension that i used named "BlockTube", was at least able to hide also blocked channels along with the content from the previews, but YTblock does not! When i want to hide something, then i want it vanished from the preview thumbnails as well. period!

- It has finally stopped working completely. Channel Blocker and BlockTube are no longer functioning, and YTBlock, the last stronghold, has finally fallen. It's a shame.

- Recently, when you hide Overlays, YouTube started showing all the channels you specified in the list in the related videos on the video viewing page. This is very unfortunate.

- If you're looking to blacklist certain content on YouTube, then this is the perfect extension. It allows you to block pretty much anything on YouTube. It's even customizable. It works, it's easy to set up, it's very useful, and it's simple. I highly recommend this one.

- Very good extension only it's not blocking those bot channels in the comments section. It blocks them for a minute or so but they just pop back up. I'd like them blocked for good please, then it gets a five star and I'll update my review

- So far, this extension has been amazing. Works like a charm. That being said, I believe there's been some kind of update with YouTube and the options for blocking specific videos or channels, that is the ones added in the 3 dots for every video in Youtube, are gone. The extension still works but it has become fairly tedious to use it since you have to go into the site of the extension and manually write in the channels you want to block. I hope this can be fixed, soon.

- This does exactly what I was hoping for. I wanted a way to block channels that were clearly AI slop from my search results, and this extension worked perfectly for that purpose. It required a few extra steps to enable this feature, but the instructions were provided were very clear and easy to follow with pictures of each step. It took me less than five minutes to set up and the end results were worth it.

- Perfect Extension. The one I used to have I had almost 100 channels blocked but that extension hasn't been updated and now they reappeared, but I just copied and pasted all of them placed it in this extension and there all blocked again. Very nice

- May 3, 2025. This extension needs a lot of work. Technically it is hit or miss. The "x" next to videos for blocking them, does not do a thing. This extension is hit or miss, it either blocks what I do not want blocked or it blocks nothing. It is too inconsistent. JUNE 13, 2025. WORKS ONE DAY, FAILS TO WORK THE NEXT. June 6, 2025. App has gone glitchy. WHO EVER SERVICES THIS EXTENSION IS FIRED. YOU ARE NOT DOING YOUR JOB. THIS EXTENSION NEEDS YOUR ATTENTION. SERVICE THE EXTENSION OR HAND IT OVER TO SOMEONE WHO WILL.

- Only one serious issue, having more than one preset seems useless since changing presets wipes all settings and block lists, except video links and any cached through API use. Also wish you could have a block by age without API, even if it's limited, since there is a simpler age info right under the title on the homepage.
