It works for real, updated in 2020. The block rules are stricter than uBlock Origin or ABP Ad Block Plus: it blocks any pop-up or advertising opening a window.
This extension will stop any unwanted advertise opened while watching a movie on streaming or whatever. It disables the opening of new windows, tabs and pop-up.
