Images ON/OFF
- Live on Store
Disable images on current site.
Use this extension to disable/enable images on the current site.
It's a simple switch: click to disable, click to enable.
It works on "per host" basis and will disable images for the given host (the currently selected tab), not for all hosts.
There are some options available, but basically, the extension does just that and nothing more.

turns off alone, stupid
Just what I was looking for!
big fan of how this works, though i'm now having a problem with the browser version of Spotify, instead of hiding all of the images/clutter, now the entire site just doesn't load with it on

This is the 1th extension that removes the most images out of all the extensions available.
hmm after the update i'm having issues with the extension, it simple stops working after a short while, i have to close the browser and open it again to fix it, but like before only for a short while.(Pressing the button does nothing!) I'm on latest Vivaldi build.
After it updated, it loaded a full page ad for their "partner's new extension" for some AI wrapper around GPT. Not cool!
Well it works actually but there is a but! when you turn it on for a website you can only disable it when you remove the extension. if you press its icon again nothing happens, so you will refresh the page to take effect and when you refresh it the extensions icon will change again, settings did not make any change, I added website to allow list and it did not work because it was on the block list at the same time! I tried to remove it from block list and it was not possible :D

This is a good extension, but I prefer something like the “Remove Assets” extension because it works with other reading extensions. Compatible extensions include Clearly Reader and Reader View. I'm guessing that Images ON/OFF functions similarly to the other reading extensions, and there can only be one reload / pop-out. Other extensions like “Image Remover” and “Remove Assets” just remove the images in-place without needing to refresh the page. Also, I noticed that turning off images with Images ON/OFF will add “Images were blocked on this page” to the URL bar. It adds the web page to your Chrome settings > privacy and security > customized behaviors. There's a risk of forgetting that you added a site to the “Not allowed to show images” list.

Good, but requires the page to be reloaded.

Overcomplicates. Works after-the-fact. This should be a simple universal on-off switch and add options from there. Instead, you get the images on whether you like it or not, and then you can switch off.

It works sometimes but at other times it just refuses to respond to clicks and images stay on a certain website.

Exactly what I have been needing for so long, I like visiting sites like Daily Mail, but HATE the graphic images, sexual images all to get attention, you cannot see the real news without having to see at least 10 half naked women grabbing my attention or some graphic image of someone hurt. Now I click this Button and all the images go away and its so easy to see the really important news, not the stupid or distracting content, and it stays in effect for other links you click through the website. Just Great!

I dunno if there's some setting preventing the correct functioning of the extension, but when I toggle nothing happens, other than the page reloading. I need this functionality for the most basic use: disable images for emails I'm designing, so it's like local, static webpages... and it's not working. I had a quick scour of the available resources but nothing jumps to the eye as "do this to make it work" so it's an instant remove for me.

Nice extension that does what it says. (it is not clear if removing the images, means your DSL connection did NOT pass those "image data" amounts.). as that is my requirements.......since my internet connection is metered here. thanks Vin

This app is awesome! With a simple click of a button, the images all go away. Click again and they are back. How much simpler could you get? The developer should be applauded.

This is an easy way to block certain domains from loading images! It makes pages load much more quickly, which also keeps them from jumping around when images would have loaded. Certain ad images are still displayed, but the amount is greatly reduced. It is helpful to enable it on certain pages in which images are not necessary for the page viewing experience (e.g., I enable it on dictionary.com and thesaurus.com, sites for which images are needless).

Отлично! Как раз для использования с медленными, публичными прокси!

I find it quite useless since I need to enable the setting for every site therefore downloading all the images the first time I load a page and using my data plan

Excellent! I choose this after a wide investigation, include Wizmage Image Hider 2.8.7, Block image 1.1, Easy Image Control 2.9 and Hide Images 1.5.1. Only one single click and then it will hide images from current site. It is very useful for those who want to hide images only on a few websites. You absolutely should give it a try! If you are those who want to hide images from all sites with a short whitelist, i suggest you try Wizmage Image Hider here: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/wizmage-image-hider/ifoggbfaoakkojipahnplnbfnhhhnmlp
