  • (2025-01-15) Dan: While this is a good extension, recently it has failed to "trigger" on some pages, and it would be a wonderful addition if clicking on the extension in top right would give you an option to "force" it to start working on the current page, or at least attempt to.

  • (2024-06-28) Jobst von Steinsdorff: This is a great tool to undo some of the bad things Quora did to annoy its user base. Unfortunately only the "Mute Block" Feature works in other languages than English. It would be great if the two other features could also help one in the foreign language versions. Since "Mute" and "Block" have other labels in different languages, it shouldn't be a translation issue? Otherwise happy to help to find the right buttons (for German and French versions). If this is extended it truly deserves a sixth star!
  • (2024-06-26) Dave Haynie: This is great for the most part, but it's got a bug. When enabled, I get "There was an error loading more items" in Quora when scrolling down more than a handful of items. Disable it and the problem is gone -- no need to remove. Other than that, it does everything else I'd like in a Quora extension. If you can't easily fix it, how about a title bar button to allow an easy toggle on-off.
  • (2024-06-19) Joe Parsons: I am always a bit skeptical of adding plugins and extensions to a browser I use every day. This one came with recommendations from several prominent Quorans I respect, so I installed it. What a difference it has made in my Quora experience! Now I can find the OP with one click, mute and block them with another. The plugin automates scrolling through a question's log to find the OP. This can take a minute or two if there are many responses--but automating the scrolling process is far less burdensome than doing the job manually. Muting and blocking the OP takes just one more click. As Quora has fired almost all their human moderators, and made other unhealthy changes, the site is at risk of being completely overrun by trolls, sockpuppets and propagandists. Streamlining the curation process doesn't fix the site's problems--but it makes working around them much easier. I'd give it more than five stars if I could.
  • (2024-06-18) Daniel S: I like the mute and block button all in one for a profile. I feel like the 'Find original poster' button still is somewhat tedious. All it does is go the question log and scroll down automatically. This helps a bit opposed to manually scrolling but can still take a long time to find the original poster if there are a ton of answers. For a question with 84 answers, it took almost about 3 minutes just to get to the original poster. If there were a quicker way to somehow retrieve the OP's profile that'd be great. I like how on questions it'll automatically switch from Related answers to the actual answers, that feature always bugged me a little. Finally, it feels a bit incomplete because when you check who someone is following or being followed by, there is an Open Profiles button. It would be better if this could be changed to a button that opens the profiles, mutes and blocks them then closes the tab. This would help a lot since some people would rather block not only a troll but their followers as well.
  • (2024-06-16) Terry Bair: Quora has become a cesspit of trolls and propagandists. I have been muting and blocking them for years but this extension makes doing so much faster. Every Quoran ought to install it.
  • (2024-06-16) Ronald Davis: Enables rapid finding, blocking, and muting of the poster of any question. Until a couple of years ago, I tolerated the occasional nut cases whose answers occasionally appeared. However, since social media have finally made some effort to filter out the hatemongers and the mentally ill, many have infested Quora, and I have had to mute and block at least hundreds of them, beyond counting, to obtain a useful feed. This extension is extremely helpful. Also makes answer viewing default to “Answers” instead of Quora’s default of “All unrelated” (mislabeled “All related”).
  • (2024-06-15) Sarah Madden: FIVE OUT OF FIVE STARS for this. It's fast and easy to install. Using Quora can be a challenge, but this new tool means I can QUICKLY find the original poster (OP) of a question even if it has hundreds of answers, AND with one click, I can mute and block the OP when necessary. It's very satisfying to click "Find Original Poster," and it efficiently scrolls to the end of the question edits log to stop at the OP, which can be a chore if there are tons of answers. You click on the OP's name, and it takes you to the OP's profile, same as always. ANOTHER KEY CHANGE is the new red "Mute Block" button on each profile. Click that button, and it automatically mutes and blocks that profile saving you three steps each time you M&B someone. THANK YOU TO DAVID BROWER, THE DESIGNER OF THIS TOOL!
  • (2024-06-13) Alan McReynolds: Seems to work well. Thanks! Needs an option to downvote the blocked user's content.
  • (2024-06-11) Jonathan Blackbow: Haven't tested it yet but the fact that anybody took the time to put this together is fabulous. I've been begging for a "block and mute" button for years.
  • (2024-06-11) Timothy Higgins: I actively curate my Quora feed to banish the trolls. This extension saves some time and keystrokes for that.
  • (2024-06-10) Ben Jorgensen: Most useful extension to come around in a long time. Adds functionality to Quora that they will not add themselves.
  • (2024-06-10) Michelle Steele: Thank you! I think you just salvaged Quora for me.
  • (2024-05-16) Max Jones: I was close to leaving Quora until this extension came along. I cleared my feed of most trolls in days.
  • (2024-05-10) Jeffrey Anderson: A definite time saver. Finding the OP in Quora in order to block them is a tedious process. This plugin fixes that. I expect to use it often. Just a question -- can this work with Brave? Works great on Chrome, but on Brave the new buttons don't appear -- only the button on the toolbar that mutes/blocks. EDIT: As of May 9, 2024 this works on Brave as well. Thanks for the work!
  • (2024-05-09) Paul J: Nice, it makes the process of finding and blocking trolls much easier.
  • (2024-05-08) Leo McDevitt: This really works! I block/mute early and often. What I hated the most about Quora was having to scroll down to the bottom of the question log to find the OP. This does that instantly with one click! I highly recommend installing!
