Glibzter Immersive - English Vocabulary Builder is a web browser extension that functions like a ‘digital magnet’ for English words and phrases from the content you consume online on a laptop/desktop/PC.
It curates and presents to you, all in 'REAL-TIME', the most relevant words and phrases for you to learn, from:
1) English subtitles / Closed captions of movies, TV shows, web series and documentaries you stream online from YouTube and Netflix.
2) Online news articles in on international news platforms like BBC, CNN, and MSN News, as well as Indian platforms such as The Times of India and Scroll.in.
The browser extension also functions like a 'digital diary' with a 'Manual Entry' feature to record English words and phrases you come across while accessing content from platforms other than the ones it has been programmed to work on.
Once the English words and phrases are curated, you can use the Glibzter Immersive web app as a 'digital gym' to practice them and build your verbal ability by understanding their usage by context, situation and emotions to help you remember them better.
Please note: This product is ideal for users who have basic foundational knowledge of English, and who'd like to improve their Spoken English through fine-tuning their diction by learning contextual usage of high impact words and phrases.
We have curated words/phrases classified under the following three categories:
• BASIC: Anyone with Grade 5 level English medium education will know. They are marked in BLACK. By default, they aren't shown to you. If you wish to access them, you have to turn on the 'Basic' button.
• ESSENTIAL: Recommended by Glibzter for you to contextually practice. They are marked in BROWN.
• UNCATEGORIZED: Newly coined words, nonce words, foreign language words or even proper nouns. They are marked in GREY.
All phrases come under the BASIC and ESSENTIAL categories. We have improved the accuracy of identifying phrases (idioms and phrasal verbs) by 75%.
Glibzter Immersive will not work on YouTube videos with subtitles exceeding 50000 words.
There is also a daily limit of 300 recommended words and phrases for the browser extension to acquire. i.e. If the Essential + Uncategorized words and phrases acquired cross 300, the browser extension would stop working and would give you an alert.
Alerts are programmed for every 100 recommended words and phrases acquired for practice. Only after you practice the recommended words and phrases would the browser extension work again.
GLIBZTER IMMERSIVE FEATURES (Version 1.1.0)
Browser extension:
• Word and Phrase estimator: Get to know how many relevant words are there for you to practice from the online article or YouTube/ Netflix video
• Manual entry: Enter a word or phrase manually for practicing the contextual usage. This is a handy feature when you come across words and phrases offline or in online media channels not covered by Glibzter Immersive.
• Dashboard: Get to know the quantum of words and phrases acquired and practiced. This is also presented by source (i.e. Videos, Online articles). You need to click on the numbers presented here to open the Glibzter Immersive web app.
• Alerts: For every 100 recommended words and phrases acquired in addition to a daily limit of 300 recommended words and phrases. This is to ensure you get to practice them and benefit from the Glibzter Immersive subscription.
Web application:
• Dashboard: Get an overview of the quantum of words and phrases acquired, practiced and already known. Also get to know the quantum of words and phrases acquired by source (i.e. Videos, Online articles, Manual entry) and type (i.e. Basic, Essential and Uncategorised)
• Card of 5: When you click on 'Start Practice' in the dashboard for either Words Acquired or Phrases Acquired, it opens up an interface with a card showing 5 words or phrases. You can select those words or phrases you wish to practice while ignoring those you already know.
• AI-powered contextual usage: Know how to use words and phrases by context, situation and emotion.
• Theme based curated word and phrase lists: For a more structured and time bound learning journey. (Still in testing phase and will be live from 25th Sept, 2024)
• Audio feature through Text to Speech: Aiding in better pronunciation
• Translation feature: Contextual usage of words and phrases translated into 7 Indian regional languages (Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Bangla and Marathi)
• Test feature: MCQ based assessment of contextual understanding of word phrase usage.

• Free tiered usage for 5 days [Enjoy using Glibzter Immersive for free. Use it for up to 5 YouTube videos, 1 Netflix video and reading 10 online articles per day for each of the 5 days].
• Subscription packages start from US$ 2/ ₹ 99.00 only.
• Weekly, monthly and annual subscription packages available.
• Online payments accepted. Your card will not be auto-debited post the end of the subscription period. Subscription renewals are manual.
• Subscription payments once made will not be refunded.
