I really wish this would actually work because I can't seem to save my facebook chat covsersations any other way especially my older ones which there's this one that I really want to save and read offline and it's really frustrating and disappointing to know and read this extension doesn't work anymore.

Now I am getting: "Please wait while the extension is loading the data about the chat." And the cursor cannot be put in the date field. Any suggestions appreciated! • (2023-01-21) Joe Shaw: It was working on Chrome until i got an error saying 'Failed to get messages from the server'. Then i tried it on Microsoft Edge, kept getting the same 'Failed to get messages from the server' error. I tried changing time intervals in the Options menu. Still the same error. I also tried deleting then re-installing the extension and still got the same error. So then i tried using a completely different computer that has Chrome on it and i'm still getting the 'Failed to get messages from the server' error... Eventually, i tried downloading messages in short spaces of time (e.g. the space of 1 month, or 2 months). It wouldn't work when i did this at the start and kept coming up with the same error, but then after a while it suddenly started working when doing this on the Edge Browser. It's a good extension well worth the 6 dollars and a lot of people are writing unfair reviews. I've also tried and paid for their Instagram chat saver as well and it's brilliant! This extension is better than using the 'Download your Information' method on Facebook. Downloading your Facebook information from Facebook itself isn't as good because it's more complicated and messy, for example when you download a HTML of a conversation Facebook doesn't let you view audio or video files from that HTML only in a separate folder for media. This extension lets you view media or audio messages when you download the HTML file of a conversation and i think this extension is organized and simplistic. I'm leaving 4 out of 5 stars because the 'Failed to get messages from the server' was very difficult to deal with and i was nearly about to just delete the extension until it basically just randomly started working again. So i suggest to developers to try to fix this issue other than that it's a brilliant useful extension :)

After many tries i gave up and i found this Extension. It wasn't working for me either despite i paid without any consideration. After reading a note that this works on Microsoft Edge, guess what, it did. I needed almost 200.000 messages with my partner since we needed a proof of communication for our visa. This extension has given me the best document that i have to provide!

Still can't get the date range box to become responsive so the extension hasn't helped me at all to save my chats (required because facebook is cancelling messenger for anyone without a fb account - frustrating!)

The app didn't work for me personally, but the app creator is a stand up person and you should give the apps a try knowing that the developer is an honest person.

They do not tell you until you try to use it, that it must be only for the messenger app itself or a mobile website version of Facebook which, everybody knows, Facebook no longer allows you to even see your message history ir send messages outside of the app. It will keep asking you to load a www.m.facebook.com/ address to even get this to work, blaming Facebooks new API update as a possible reason, but the problem is that's a Bs lie. They know you cannot use it in a mobile browser or desktop browser, and this app has been purposely pushed to the top of the search algorithm of Google, because they got rid if EVERY SINGLE OTHER EXTENSION that did what this app claims to do...and those others did it for FREE! Obvious collusion with Google on this one, and it does not work as advertised. Don't believe me? Go try for yourself. You won't be able to do it outside of the messenger app, and this is a browser extension, so you won't be able to use it! The fake bot accounts giving 4 to 5 star reviews with no profile picture, are probably paid shills to try and up the review score as to not be taken down. Again, they are lying because you cannot view your messages through the browser, Facebook put a stop to this on mobile devices over a year ago. It is the entire reason why you now have to have two apps to use Facebook, one specifically for just messaging.

When trying to follow instructions, select a chat to mark "from" and "to" dates there is a message: Make sure you are in a mobile facebook page m.facebook.com/messages ... how do you think now? Download chrome extension to the desktop, and then try to save it from a mobile phone? (The mobile version page does not work surfing from a desktop)
