This is an extension designed to monitor https://www.prolific.com/ for new studies and alert you when it finds them.

Features
- Desktop notification for every new study found.
- Displays how many studies are available on the extension icon.
- Shows the last time studies were checked for.

Settings
- Alert Sound: The type of sound you want when a new study is found (none, voice, choice of 5 different sounds).
- Alert Volume: The volume level for the alert sound (0-100).
- Desktop notifications

Can you fix the study checking time to the old. The old version checked once for 1 minute, but now it took longer and checked once for about 3 minute, that made us miss studies.

It was working fine a couple weeks ago. Then last week, I got the sound but no pop up for the study. Then a couple days ago, the sound completely stopped working. The extension is now useless to me and taking up space. Please fix this!

All of a sudden it stopped the alerts for new studies. I mean i dont get any sound for notifications. I tried removing and then adding again. checked all my settings.

Well, I have never tested the Prolific Assistant extension version before. But I strongly believed with it, you would be able to control the flow of survey studies with ease without any difficulties

Has the potential to be such a useful tool if the bugs were worked out. Doesn't maintain simple settings, such as Alert Sounds (which return to the default of None regardless of how many times I choose a sound). Some days works perfectly, other days stops working and has to be signed out of and signed in again over and over. Please fix!!!

Extension worked unto a few weeks ago. Shows the list of studies available, but when you click on it, it takes me to an Error 404 "Page does not exist" error even though the study is active.

Not bad but as of early Sept '25 most of the popup links don't work. They take me to a 404 page on Prolific, and from there I need to hop back to the home page and hope that the surveys are still listed. The URLs all _look_ OK, but don't work any more.

Used to be very useful but seems to be broken. I've tried everything to fix it but I get the same 404 message, please update! Even when it worked you had to be careful because it would log you out and not let you know so you had to constantly check and log back in otherwise you would just miss studies thinking you weren't getting any. When it works it's great, when it doesn't work it's useless.

We get the notification but once we click on the notification box, it just sends you to an error 404 page but the study was still accessible from the main prolific dashboard.

Exactly the same. Doesn't load studies anymore even when they are still on the prolific dashboard. Just get an error message that says "404 - page not found". Missing out on so many studies because of this

Currently does not load the study, it just sends you to an error 404 page but the study was still accessible from the main prolific dashboard. I don't know why

This used to be a very useful and convenient extension to get notifications of studies that were available but as others have noted recently for some reason it just logs you out and what is worse it that often it does not show that you are logged out so you assume that it is running but you have to click on it to verify which has led me to miss many a study! I am unsure why this has been introduced by the developers and whether there are some regulatory reasons for doing so but there has been no communication as to why or if it is an issue they are working on

not all time I'm really informed in the right time about the studies available. Most of the times 50% are already full when I'm receiving the advise about it

Doesn't stay logged in. When prompted to log in again, it gives a pop-up that doesn't have autofill. Way easier to just log in through the website, which kind of defeats the point of the extension.

Its great when it works. I installed about 2 weeks ago and all was fine for about a week and helped a lot. But for the last week, I need to constantly log in to the app and I get a red ! Gets very frustrating

Not sure what happened recently but as of the last couple of weeks or so this is continuously logging me out of Prolific multiple times per day. If I have to log back into the extension 15x a day it sort of defeats the purpose.

Amazing, There's no error. You may just want to check if the volume is high and you picked out an alert sound.

It usually does its job well, alerting me of new studies even when prolific isnt open in the background, but sometimes it takes too long to load so by the time I get to prolific from clicking the notif, all the spots have been taken. Also, recently it's been taking me to an error 404 message instead of the study.

Extension issues were resolved so, thanks. FYI Guys to enable the alert sound on desktop, go to the settings tab at the bottom of the PA ext. Most ppl miss this.

For me, this extension has always done what it has promised to do. There have been times when, if I do not have a Prolific tab open already, the extension itself will not work until I log IT specifically into Prolific, but that seems like it should be an expected behavior. I have no issues with it, and it gets updated regularly. It was showing up in my extensions screen as having an error due to not being V3 manifest a few days ago but it has apparently been fixed.

I think since I downloaded the extension a year ago, I have only received one alert and even then, the study was already full. Please fix it so it can actually be useful.

Useless. I haven't received any alerts since I downloaded in May this year, and when it worked previously, the studies were always full.

Not really very useful - tells me about surveys - but when I go to them they are full and misses many others. Does not retain the voice alerts either.

Worked great the 1st day it was installed, only very rarely since then. Oh, well, guess I'll just have to stay close to computer and check often for available studies.

Absolutely garbage, hardly ever works. Has been reported multiple times in both Support emails as well as Reddit by numerous people and has yet to be fixed for the past six or seven months.
