Syrup (Open Beta)

Seemed promising, but it doesn’t automatically add and test coupons. Instead, a panel opens, saying coupons have been found, but the contents don’t load. After refreshing, I do see a whole list of coupons which I have to manually copy. I tried five of them on a product they were supposedly valid for, and none of them worked. I guess this extension worked for others; for me, it did absolutely nothing useful.

Pretty good extension, and while there is a little more manual work involved in using it, it beats using Honey, by far.

works and doesnt steal affiliate commision like honey, but think it will be nice so you can disable and enable the pop-up (currently not working)

Honestly this extension is great. Does what Honey was supposed to do. Some codes don't work but it's to be expected since it's webscraping. As of now you need to copy/paste the codes it provides, but I read they are working on adding auto-apply and also crowd sourcing so people can vote if codes are working or not. So it's headed in a great direction.

I love the idea of making a Honey-like extension without the scamming and stealing of affiliate links. Unfortunately, after trying it out on a few different purchases from multiple online stores, absolutely none of the dozens of codes shown worked. This is made even worse because the promo codes aren't tried automatically, and the process to copy and paste them closes the extension window every time, making it quite a tedious process. I really wish I could recommend this, but I simply can't in its current state. Though, thankfully the extension is open source and will hopefully be improved after some time.

I love the extension. I can't wait for people to expand it even more, especially because it's open-source!

Superior to Honey

You’re using coupons from CouponFollow, which also has the Cently extension. Essentially, what you’re doing amounts to intellectual property theft. They have hundreds of millions of dollars at their disposal. What will you do when they demand compensation? How will you fight them kiddo?

Much better than Honey and Lightweight, works and I recommend it.

It works like a charm! I saved 30% on domains on hostinger.com. In comparison to Honey, it’s also completely open-source, so you can see its functionality firsthand.
