- Good alternative for "YouTube Comment search" Works fine, but stopps working if you block third-party cookies in your browser. Then you have to make an exception for youtube.com

- UPDATE 2: As of January 2025, it's working great. My only complaint now is that settings do not save, which is quite frustrating. Every time I open a new video I have to manually choose "dark mode" and "Show content on search" each time. Other than that. I absolutely love this extension and am upgrading it to 5 full stars. If I could give 4.5 for lack of saving I would, but even that rounds up, so 5 it is. UPDATE: As of Aug. 8, 2024, the extension just stopped working. As advised in another comment, I updated the extension, but this did not help. It was great while it lasted. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Seems to work great so far. It's a bit bulky if you're used to YCS, but not a big deal. Thanks for your hard work, developer.

- If I could make a few suggestions? Make the chosen theme continue to apply after the browser is closed, allow for replies to searched comments to be opened, possibly speed up the comment load process, and possibly fix issues where comments are stuck in an infinite search loop.

- Works, but it is horribly slow at loading comments. Hadzy is orders of magnitude faster. So it's only usable for up to 1000 comments unless you wanna wait for 20 min for it to load what Hadzy loads in 10 seconds. Also Adblock blocks it so it needs to be turned off for Youtube.

- This is fantastic! Unlike many of the other YouTube search tools, this one works and doesn't require you to open a new tab.

- Good for searching comments and transcript but doesn't work for live chats. Display says "Live chat content will be here..." Is that feature a work in process? Can you remove ##### that appears twice between transcript phrases?

- stopped working for some reason. 7/8/2024 8/8/2024 Works great again! the fact that this developer cares and updates the extension is very fascinating thing to me because most devs take like 1-4 weeks to update their extensions. You are simply amazing :D

- Faster than the old YCS and has a better UI! I have a few requests: 1. Could you make the Show Content on Search setting stay remembered when I open a new video? I want to change the default setting to on. 2. Could you add an option to sort by YouTube's "Top comments", which seems to be a mix of recent comments and comments with a high number of likes? If you added this, I could completely replace the default comments with YCN 95 by removing the default comments with uBlock Origin, or you could add an option within the extension to do this already. 3. Could you make the scrollbar in dark mode dark as well? Two suggestions as well: 1. For the screenshots on this store page, I think the video title/description should be visible at the top portion of the screenshots because a few people are confused on how to use the extension. 2. I think the option "Show Content on Search" should be renamed to "Only show comments on search"; I was confused on what it was going to do before I enabled it.

- Love this extension! Best alternative to original YCS. Would be nice if loading comments would be faster but it is probably limited by YouTube API I guess?

- UPDATE 5/5 stars: User is blind as a bat! I just had to scroll down a bit to see the UI, LOL! Very nice extension! :) Original Post: Nothing happens when go to a youtube (that actually has transcripts) and then i click the extensions Icon, nothing. :( 4/5 stars since it might be another extension being too aggressive such as Ublock Origin, or MS Edge built-in "Security".

- Amazing extension! One feature I'd like to see is a show/hide button to make the display toggle-able, as sometimes I don't need to search for any comments and the display is large. I tried adding it for myself but the github link no longer works, can you update it perhaps?

- seems faster than other YouTube Comments extensions. Wasn't a fan of the light theme and then tried the dark theme which I wasn't a fan of also but in like 10 minutes, I think I really like it and it has character. The features are awesome! I think this is the best YouTube comment reader. Thanks

- It is even better than YCS. Currently it's the best Chrome extension for searching through YouTube comments

- this is the best alternative to YCS so far (have used several others). like others have said, i find it takes up too much space in the page and enjoy the YCS UI where comments are only displayed/loaded after an actual search. i'd also like an option to set the color scheme to match native youtube colors. works great otherwise. rated it 5/5 anyway since i appreciate that this is a very new project.

- at least it works, unlike the YCS extension, but barely. it loads comments super, super slowly. if it has more than a couple thousand, expect to wait a long time before you can search. in fact it doesn't even see all the comments. just a few thousand when the video actually has 13k. pretty useless tbh. huge resource hog. makes page load slowly. and i have a good computer. everything runs smooth. but not this. it's bloated and unusable in its current state. like why does it load all of comments in its own box when the exact same comments are already loaded in youtube's default comments section? I don't get the purpose of that. basically unusable.

- Excellent extension. A much needed replacement for the old Youtube Comment Search extension. Small issue - on old videos, the CSS somewhat breaks. Example? Look up a video called: "BeatBox Harmonica in Math Class (original)" All the CSS ends up left shifted, with lots of white space on the right.

- A good start, but takes up too much space and you need to scroll the actual page itself when viewing results unlike YCS where you'd scroll from within a small window embedded beneath the video, allowing you to watch and read comments at the same time. As the previous reviewer noted the default background color is garish but I found Night mode far more agreeable and it sounds like further themes are being considered. Also once you've selected one of the viewing order options there's no way to deselect it and return to the default order without refreshing the page. Other than that I'm just happy to have back all my YCS functionality (and from the looks of it a little more besides) so I'm thankful to the developer for not skimping there.

- Found you through the review you left on the other comment loader that doesn't work anymore. I like this one except for the absolutely terrible background color. Why not keep it simple and white? Doesn't fit the page at all :(

- Very nice. I would like to suggest maybe not automatically displaying comments. as it create a bit to scroll through to get to the default comment layout of YouTube. Perhaps make it a drop down box? Or maybe refrain from displaying any comments until a search is initiated? Other than that, I have no real complaints. Such a shame the other extension went dead but I'm glad I saw the link to this one. I absolutely love the amount of filters as well, so unbelievably useful.

- Finally a working extension for searching comments. I hope this one will not break after some time. But can I modify this extension more? I don't want it to sort me comments, I just want it for the comment search function. It's looking ugly at the right.

- Searching doesn't search replies. Instead of writing 16000 likes make it write 16k. Also this is the ugliest like button i have ever seeing. When there are a lot of comment the counter to the right of "Load Comments" gets stuck but loads all the comments (if you leave it more). You can't search names. I like the little animation when you are sorting comments. Edit 19/6 : Author button doesn't show Author's comments. Every comment has 1 more like.
