Image from store Sloooop
Description from store Simplest AB looper for Spotify Are you a musician who wants to practice parts of songs on Spotify? Are you a music listener who wants to repeatedly listen to a favourite part of a song on Spotify? Are you a DJ who wants to play background music from a part of a song on Spotify? Then Slooop is for you! Simple operation: Login to your Spotify account -> Enable Sloooop -> Allow Slooop -> Set the slider ranges to the desired part of your song -> Click Sloooop extension button again to toggle looping on and off. Known Limitations - This only works for Premium Spotify users. The seek API is unfortunately only allowed for Spotify Premium. - This extension is only supported on Chrome. It has been tested on Windows and OSX desktops. It has not been tested on *nix platforms. - The extension client authorization only lasts 1hour. After every hour, the user will need to allow the extension access to its Spotify account again. This is a current limitation with Spotify's front-end client authorization flow. - The maximum number of tracks with loop ranges have not been tested. The fixed chrome extension storage limits are 5MB. • (2024-08-15) Dennis Hill: This used to work really good. Helped me out learning parts of a song on my guitar. Sadly the extension stopped working and now part of the slider appears at the left corner of the spotify website but does not do anything. if you could update it that would be awesome Would give it 5 stars but its not working anymore.
  • (2024-06-21) L Musk: Was really excited for this, but it seems to be abandoned. Scrubbers don't show up when I have it enabled, so it looks like its not up to date with the current web client. Or it just doesn't work with Brave browser like all my other chrome extensions do.
  • (2023-11-11) Bronius Motekaitis: I am so happy to have come across a Spotify A/B looping utility! It's quite easy to use: Open a Spotify track in the browser, click on the Sloopy Chrome browser extension, set and tweak your Start and End scrubbers, and off it goes, on and on. But it's not perfect... Little tweaks would perfect it: - Smaller scrub handlers. They overlap too much on short passages. - ..with accurate "Start" indicator on the scrubber: It appears it's not the left end that marks where on the timeline the A/B handler begins but where the mouse was clicked "through" the scrubber. Better to just put a thin "needle" down on the specific spot (preferably on the hard left side of each A and B). - Would like to see the written-out timestamp that is on the label update as the A/B scrubber is moved - Superimposed, zoomed in scrubber floating atop (or even off to the side) of the Spotify scrubber - Alternate textfield or up/down dials entry to mark specific start/stop in hundredths of a second. I don't think I've ever had to spell out the word "hundredths" before! remarkable. But i am SO happy -- this is the only tool I know of to do musical Practice A/B looping in Spotify! Thank you!!
