- Works okay on articles, but no luck getting it to work with Youtube videos. It keeps returning a message that no transcript was found. However, I confirmed that transcripts were available. I even turned on the transcript but made no difference. TLDR couldn't find it. Update: Playing around some more, I discovered that if I drag the Youtube tab out to it's own window, this extension works in the new window. Something for the devs to investigate.

- This is great for just about any web site, but especially for YouTube, apparently no one makes money on any video shorter than a certain length, so many videos have some good information filled in with fluff or repeated over and over in different ways, just to fill space. This cuts through that, and it makes a 20+ minute video about current political situations, a 3 minuet read, and done!

- LOVE this app!!! SUMMARIZING is a great feature, and it seems like every other AI tool out there offers it. What makes TLDR different is that it has an easy-access icon that will popa SIDECAR on any webpage and instantly give you a quick summary right there. Unlike most of the multi-function apps with a Summarizing feature, with TLDR, there is NO NEED TO: copy/paste into an app or another web page, select Summarizer, and return to your original page when you're done. Sounds like a small thing - Feels like a distinct jump in "easiness."

- Really good for school, like long paragraphs you don't want to read and long videos that had been assigned. Really fast, quick and reliable.

- used it for long videos and medium articles. It is quite good and effective, long video summaries on YT need to be improved, key points was more effective to summarize and follow the content. Also, It'd be very good if the summary will be in the same , detected language for YT

- Great extension. It should come with YouTube by default. Saves so much time. If you find something you would like more details on, jump to that time stamp. Love it!!!!

- The best plugin for me so far.
- Dennis Kelly
- The summaries are good as far as they go. But they only summarize about half the video. It's not very helpful to me if it doesn't summarize the entire video. I suppose the producers of the videos object to the entire video being summarized since it would reduce views. YouTube should give them credit for a view if someone reads the summary.

- This is hands down one of the most useful Chrome extensions I've ever used. I regularly read well-written but incredibly detailed blogs, and this extension does an excellent job of distilling the key points from lengthy, verbose articles without losing the essence. It's been a game-changer for my reading efficiency! One feature request for the wishlist: it would be fantastic if the extension could include links to the specific sections being summarized. This would make it easy to dive deeper into particular points that catch my interest. That said, this is an incredibly well-designed and useful tool. Thank you so much for creating it - highly recommended!!

- In a world flooded with bloated articles and endless preambles, TLDR cuts through the noise like a scalpel. It helps me stay informed without wasting time on filler that often reads like a student padding an essay with irrelevant facts. This app has become essential to my daily routine—concise, clear, and incredibly valuable.

- Years ago, there was a newspaper in Chicago, possibly the Chicago American, known for its concise articles; it was a pleasure to read. TLDR reminds me of that. I love how it condenses a five-minute read into a 30 to 60 second summary while still allowing access to the full article for additional details. While detailed writing is great for novels, I prefer a quick news summary so I can move on. The extension works on both Chrome and Edge, despite claims that it doesn't support Edge. It's a fantastic tool, and I highly recommend it.

- Useful, quick and one-click away.

- It's great for videos and articles, but is absolutely dreadful with book pdf's. It will tell you the title and the word count, but not analyze a word of the actual content. Which is very frustrating, because it's quite helpful aside from that.
- Cornelius Illi
- Super fast and well structured summaries.
- Kelly Van Valkenburg
- Making my life so much easier! There's too much info to take in, and TLDR boils it down. Excellent program, and works really fast too!
- Fedya Price
- Great time saver, the Video summaries could do withsome work, but it works like a charm on websites and PDFs. I've saved so much time in filtering between usefull (relevant) and useless articles, webpages, and PDFs for my work.
